A Year of Miracles: Daily Devotions and Reflections (The Marianne Williamson Series)

Love this book. I have it on audible too. I listen to it instead of the news. Great way to connect with HP before tackling the world. Tried to buy it for all my friends but it would only allow two :(.

This book is amazing. I read one page a day, before I leave the house, and every page is just so uplifting and inspiring.

I had this book on my list to buy last year when it was released, but I was in the middle of moving from the West Coast to the East Coast, I really regret not getting it right away. I ordered it and started Day 206 of 2014. I have most of Marianne's books, I have been lucky enough to spend 3 weekend Spiritual Workshops with Marianne in the past 10 years, I thought I knew how to pray quite well, until I spent time with her in a small group that prayed often. Many books on Daily Devotions and Meditations are offered from great teachers across the World. Marianne is insightful and always engaging. I must say, this book is full of Grace, Wisdom and Centered Daily Guidance. I am sure it will help me for many years start my day and add to my own daily prayers, thoughts and reflections. Buy this book, find the day you wish to start and wake-up to GOD, Love and a Wonderful Morning.

Marianne Williamson delivers an inspiring book, based on daily devotions and reflections that are peaceful, and comforting. This book is a helpful guide to our way of thinking the thoughts that break the chains of fear. The author explains that we become miracle workers, and must begin with ourselves first. Marianne Williamson reminds us to think about the things we should be grateful for, why the mind is Cause and the world is Effect, and how we can change the world by changing the thoughts we have about it. In addition, the author talks about happiness and peace, how forgiveness can set us free of pain and if we provide the light, there shall be no darkness. On Day 1, God lives within my heart. Day 5 is Reflection, The Miracle Of Surrender, and advice on personal transformation, and healing. On Day 7, we need God's help, and he needs our hands and feet to work through us. On Day 17, no matter what the problem is, the solution is love. The author also directs the reader to focus on love, no matter what situation we are in. This inspiring book is comforting as it portrays ways to find peace and tranquility, is motivating, and is beautifully written. Highly recommended!

I am so happy that I decided on the hard cover, as this generous and stunning book will be my closest companion displayed on my family room table for the whole year and more. Since, I am delighted to have Marianne's precious words of Grace to illuminate my thoughts closer at hand for family and friends. I have been a devout follower of Marianne and ACIM student since 1992. This is the first book that resonates in a powerful way with Mike Dooley's incredible Notes From The Universe that I love. However, what's even more is Marianne's creative power of thought-through reflections of magnificent prayer. I never tire of reading her beautiful words that transpire the Grace of God throughout the pages of "A Year of Miracles." No one prays quite like Marianne and communicates with words that speak directly to our hearts. "Thus shall God's purposes be accomplished on earth as they are in heaven...." are words of Grace recited in one of Marianne's speeches and explains every page in this book to perfection. I am slowly returning to the power of prayer in my life. After my mother transitioned in 1996, my building frustration with the Catholic Church soon turned into complete rejection. It is my belief that the Catholic Church kept me and millions of other Catholics in a constant state of fear. My mother was a deeply religious and devout catholic. She had a tremendously giving heart. She was well loved and respected in our neighborhood. Because of this and many more things , I felt she was a saint. My father was also a good man who was also a good catholic. I grew up in a very religious home. There were lots of religious artifacts in nearly every room.but instead of it bringing me comfort, it made me more present to what I did wrong and the artifacts were constant reminders of my failures to be as good a person as my parents. So I walked away from the church collapsing prayer with being false. However, I cannot deny the power of prayer in saving me from a bad relationship and opening me up to a life where many of my dreams came to fruition. From 1985-86, I was in constant prayer. Slowly my life began to blossom. After my mother transitioned, it seemed nearly every weekly homily/sermon was a damnation of many things that were indelible part of who I am.i couldn't hear much that was uplifting. So because of my rejection of the church, I stopped the practice of prayer. I am slowly realizing how much prayer was comforting. I began slowly adapting some of my prayer practices. I have had a recurring dream of being lost, trapped, in danger. I had a dream analyst analyze my dream and it ultimately said I need to return to the practices that give me confidence and comfort and that feeling of security I received from my parents. And then this book arrives. Also in one of my deeply painful times, I discovered Marianne and even got a chance to see her in New York a couple of times. This book couldn't be more timely. I thank Marianne again and the power of prayer.

My wife and I start off with the daily lesson from this book while we drink our morning coffee. It is a spectacular way to start a day let me tell you. We bought a copy for upstairs and downstairs in case a guest would want to enjoy it. I have read Dwyer, Tolle, Kipp, Hicks, Chopra, Myss, Angelou, L. Vaughn-Lee and others and they are all excellent reads and motivate and inspire me. Marrianne's talent takes these teachings and wordsmiths them into a much easier text for consuming, understanding, and retaining.

I have been a fan of Marianne Williamson since early 2000s when I discovered her first book "A Return to Love". I had been looking for a daily devotional book when I found this and bought it immediately. 44 days in and I know I made the right decision as I totally love it! To me the daily devotions seem based on some of her teachings on A Course in Miracles, so it's great to see that connection as I do have the text but have not started reading it. What I'm finding is each morning if I wake up with a negative thought, or if something is bothering me from the night before, the daily devotion will give me some kind of answer or perspective. Marianne is truly an enlightened master and I don't know her from Adam, don't know her character in real life, but what I do know is that her message speaks to me in a way that other religious texts have not. And because of that, I am able to view religion and religious texts (the Bible mainly) in a different light or through different eyes. A few friends have asked me what book I'm using as sometimes I post the devotions on IG so that's saying something. I would however, only recommend this book if you're familiar, even somewhat, with her teachings on A Course in Miracles or have read some of her other books, otherwise you may struggle a little, or may not understand, or it may not speak to you in the same way. I can't say for certain, but that's just my view. Either way, if you're reading this review then you are at the start of a wonderful journey and will probably have been guided here by your intuition. So trust it to guide you to the right book / daily practice that works for you (I struggle with meditation so this works for me) and is able to offer you what you NEED. Don't base your decision on what others think, as only you know what's best for you. All the best... X
