Not a bad costume. I was happy with it. I ordered the size that I would normally order in a shirt. The jacket/vest combo fit well but the pants were a little loose. The pants have an elastic waistband but it's a loose elastic band not a tighter/stronger elastic waistband like a pair of sweatpants. I wore a pair of sweatpants under the costume pants to make them fit a little tighter and it worked out fine. Costume doesn't come with a shirt so make sure you have a shirt or get a shirt to finish the look. The ruffles are a part of the jacket so any button up shirt will work fine. I wore a wig with the costume and the hat does get a little tight when you put it on over a wig but since it's a costume that you're going to wear for a few hours and not something that you're going to wear 8 hours a day every day it is fine. Side note: I completed the costume by carrying a teacup and saucer around with me all night. Almost everyone at our party remarked that my costume was amazing but the teacup and saucer really pushed it over the top! Food for thought and a very merry unbirthday to you. -Hatter

The xxl was tight and sitting would split the pants . Since I am an accomplished seamstress I made the pants larger in the crotch area.

Bought for my husband as we were going to an alice in wonderland experience and wanted to dress up as alice & mad hatter. The fit was exactly perfect for him being 5'7" & about 180 in a size L. The quality was expected for the price, nothing too bad though. It had everything we needed for the costume to look complete. It was functional for what we needed it for.

Jacket runs very small.

I was a little concerned because my husband is slim and very tall (6'8"), but I decided if it was short it still goes with the character. It actually fit really well and even though I got the XL and it was roomy, it did not appear too big. The arms were a little short, but again, 6'8". The wrinkles from shipping steamed out very easily. The material is what you would expect for a costume, but for the price, this is an excellent way to dress up as The Mad Hatter.

My son loved the quality and comfort of his Halloween costume.
