Can this be hung using 3m adhesive strips? I don't want to drill holes into the wall.

I used a plethora of 3M 15 lb mounting steps (all I had at home) and it's doing the job well! I got the 36" x 24" size and figured I'd be better off safe than sorry. It's on the back of my hollow-core bedroom door so there is a lot of movement, but it doesn't seem to be going anywhere.

Is the surface very glossy? Can it be used as a projector "screen ?"

The surface of this board is very smooth, can be used as projector “screen” occasionally.

JLK is a filthy liar. It is made in China. Maybe it was once made somewhere else, but now it is cheap garbage built on slave labor.

How can I remove the plastic pieces that go over the screws?

you are not supposed to remove the plastic pieces the screws go through the plastic and into what ever you are mounting to.
