Tron would use these plates
They do not scratch easily - and I really tried.They are also light.They remind me of the discs used in the original Tron movie only they do smash if you throw them at something.

Plates are fine but the price is nearly twice as high as in some other online shops
The plates are as expected as it's not my first time buying dishes from Amazon but after buying and starting to use them I wanted to order some other Luminarc items that Amazon don't carry and discovered 6 of these plates would be pretty much half the price in some other UK online shops. And the price I paid on Amazon was already showing as significantly discounted

Really pleased with these plates they are every thing they say they are, it was important to me that they where light in weight as I have arthritis in my hands, they are lovely plates.

No better than ordinary glass
I'll give it one star for looking nice.It's lightweight, translucent, white glass.As for being extra durable, very disappointing.Dropped one on a tiled floor from about 2 feet. Shattered into several pieces.Others have chipped edges.So no more durable than cheap chinaware, but more importantly, no safer either.Bought these to replace the old china stuff as I was blacking out, and bought for extra safety.If you want safer plates etc., you will have to find something better than these, maybe some hotelware like Steelite or go for melamine.The only other glassware that really is durable, i.e. haven't managed to break one, are Duralex tumblers etc.Won't be buying Luminarc again.
