Cyclone Cup Shaker, Purple

Love It, so glad there are no longer glasses sitting in the sink with dried hard protein shake and almond milk film on them. I pour some milk in the cup add my scoop of protein powder, shake it up few seconds and open the lid and drink, and if at anytime you need to mix it up better, just close lid and shake some more. I am in a weight loss program, thanks to a low thyroid. I do 2 3 shakes a day. This washes great pretty color. just a great item. perfect size. This is just perfect for me. Shipped quick. arrived in perfect condition.

After receiving this shaker cup and using it for about a week, I must say that I am truly surprised by the overwhelmingly positive reviews it has on Amazon. While aesthetic, I find this cup to be relatively awful for its intended purpose relative to a simpler and cheaper shaker cup with a whisk ball. BTW, I tried this Cyclone cup with three different powders and two different liquid mediums, and found it to be terrible for all combinations.A few of the problems as I noted them:> The storage container that attaches to the bottom of the cup is too small if your powder is a two-scoop powder versus a one-scoop powder.> The underside of the liquid chamber, which forms the top of the storage container, has a complex structure to it. This allows a fine protein powder to adhere to the "roof" of the storage container. This means that when you open the storage container to dump your chosen powder into the mixing chamber, some of the powder will be stuck to the "roof" and then dump onto the floor, your clothes, the counter, etc.> The mixing chamber is strictly limited to 16 oz., leaving ZERO room for the volume of your powder if you are going to mix it with more than about 10-12 oz. of liquid.> The cone that is responsible for mixing the liquid and the powder is only partially effective. It does a good job of mixing the powder that is floating freely in the liquid medium, but is 100% INEFFECTIVE at being able to do anything about any powder that has adhered to the bottom of the mixing chamber, which almost any fine-grained protein powder will invariably do. At least a whisk ball can knock that stuck-to-the-bottom powder off the bottom to be mixed into suspension.While the Cyclone cup does appear to be made of good quality materials and is aesthetically pleasing (thus, the 2-star rating versus a 1-star), if it is not very effective at its intended purpose, I find it silly to pay at least 50% more than a standard whisk ball shaker cup would cost for a product that leaves me far less than impressed.

I love the color! I really liked the idea of the storage compartment on the bottom but have never used it. In fact I unscrewed it because it makes it so much bigger. Sometimes my shakes get a little stuck to the sides but that happens with any shaker, regardless of their claims. I'd buy another one.

I used this bottle four times mixing water with a protein powder and each and every time the lid leaked down the side of the bottle. After the first time, I made sure the lid was tight and still it leaked, each time. I ended up throwing the bottle away. And, IMO, I spend too much time cleaning the bottle due to contours and crevices in the design of the bottle. I do not recommend.

Great cup. Mixes nicely and best of all quietly. Container below is big enough for my largest scoop requirements.
