Draws humid air rapidly. Great for small spaces. It is not suitable for extremely damp room areas (I was hoping it would last behind my sofa on a cold slate floor). It will work in a very humid room but too rapidly (lasted two weeks in a very humid area) and replacement blocks will be expensive. Customer services are accessible and were very helpful explaining how the unit works and how to dispose of the brine water. My house has a septic tank. The collected brine and dye water can be flushed twice per week. It cannot be used in the garden. I think these units are good dehumidifiers for cupboards and the like. A damp room will need a mechanical dehumidifier.

All plastic construction. A bit flimsy in places. Make sure everything is clipped in and all lined up. Ease of use could be easier.I have two of these in our cupboards. They last longer than the disposable pound ones. They remove condensation but only for a small area. Don’t expect it to clean the windows in winter.Make sure the blue side of the tablet goes in correctly.Cleaning it is messy. The liquid at the bottom pours out no problems, it’s the gunk from what’s left of the tablet is messy. Use washing up gloves or some kitchen roll to put it in the bin.The product is one of the better things I’ve found for efficiency on removing condensation. VValue for money is fair considering the price of things now.

I bought one of these as my room has been very humid during the summer. This was delivered in the evening so I set it up, and by the morning it had a small layer of liquid at the bottom of it. Since then it has slowly risen and is about a 1/3 full. I have noticed my room feels drier and slightly cooler. Brilliant.

After doing some research on much more expensive dehumidifiers, I concluded from the reviews that they're hit and miss, they work for some peoples situations and not for others. So, seeing so many positive comments about this one, I thought I'd chance it for a mere eight pounds, if it doesn't do the job then I've basically lost nothing. I have one particular room where the entire window is covered in condensation in the mornings during colder months, I have no idea why as the rest of the house is fine, but it's extremely annoying. The package arrived next day and upon opening it, it's very obvious how to put the moisture tab in, nothing tricky, it takes one second. I then put it on the windowsill and hoped for the best. The next morning I apprehensively went into the room and opened the curtains. Unbelievably the window was clear and dry. The container had a small amount of blue coloured water, roughly 2mm deep in the bottom. A miracle! Since then, for the last six weeks it has continued to work well, a couple of times there has been a trace of condensation at the bottom of the window but that's pretty normal. Plus I'm still on the first tab which has some life in it yet. I've been so pleased with the results that I've stocked up with a years worth of refills (each tab is supposed to last 3 months) for a tenner. Usually things are too good to be true, you get what you pay for etc. etc. but this thing genuinely has been a small amount of money extremely well spent. No more wiping down the window every morning, no more worrying about moisture attacking the room and it's contents. If you've got the same problem as I had I recommend you try it before shelling out money on more sophisticated methods. A footnote: I read another reviewer saying that they accidentally spilled the collected water and it's horrible stuff. I'd say it's difficult to spill, you'd have to drop the unit so that it breaks open, it won't leak if you tip it up, it's well sealed. BUT, having read that review I decided to empty the contents on some weeds in the garden. I shall update with news about a possible double use! It's only needed emptying once so far. Just buy it.

It seems to work well, but I’ve got one in my bedroom and I’m concerned about the fumes that come from the dissolved tablet blue liquid. The product states that it causes eye irritation and you must not touch the tablet when installing. Also, you have to flush the liquid down a toilet which makes me think the liquid is quite toxic. I have noticed that I tend to wake up with quite a sore throat in the mornings ever since I purchased the product. Had this assembled and sat beside a troublesome window for around 1 month now. It’s probably around 1/3rd to 1/2 full. It’s not prevented condensation but it has obviously lessened it to some degree.The unit itself is nothing special, it’s not quite snap-together perfect and it’s a little off but, it was very cheap so can’t complain - it’s still very good value.It came with one refill which I’ll need to change in around 4 weeks, the lifespan of one refill in a damp area seems to be 8-10 weeks.

Bought this based on the reviews- it was 4.5 stars when I bought it. Along with this, I bought the lavender refill. The device came with a neutral fragrance refill.Cons1. My clothes started to get moldy even after I started using it.3. Crystallised DischargeIt's mentioned that the discharge can be easily drain out through the drainage spout. What they fail to mentioned in that it is not liquid but crystallised discharge. So, forgetting about difficulty in removing it, it clogs the discharge drain of the refill tab head and then it starts leaking.ProsSo what is the pro of this product? Easy to use is one and if you use the lavender refill, it can act as a room refreshner - a mild but exorbitant room refreshner, which is pointless.
