Does this record front and rear images simultaneously like others say

Yes, it can record front and rear images at the same time

Can it be used as normal mirror when off?

Yes, it can be used as a normal mirror although I usually turn it off for driving - I forget often and it's fine, it's just that I prefer the ordinary one. It turns itself on automatically when going into reverse. I hope this helps.

This message comes up when i turn it on:"Sensor fail! Make sure the sensor is ture." How can i fix this?

Not had a problem with mine. Mine is hard wired to the battery but I don't know if that's any different from plugging into the cigarette lighter

if set up on battery, will it drain the battery?

Not when the car is use I can leave the car for a few days it is fine
