Hi. These will not fit a 97. They are meant for a non turbo direct injected engine which was discontinued after 92. Hope this helps.

As long as it's the idi diesel engine, yes. In 1994 there were two different 7.3 diesel engines available.

is there a tool available to help pull glow plug after loosening it?

Nothing that I'm aware of. Mine where a little tight pulling them out due to carbon and ballooning of the plug. Keep working them around and pulling and it should come out. I did pull a little bit with some pliers on a few too. If not other options are quite mechanically involved...

They should. The 7.3 IDI and the 6.9 IDI have the same glow plug specs.
