Great solar driveway monitor & sensor system!
This is the 2nd time I’ve bought eMACROS solar driveway monitors (old set had become very dirty on the sensor lens & impossible to clean any longer). My long drive doesn’t get a lot of sun yet these sensors get enough to stay powered. I have the setting on high so the sensor picks up small and large vehicles. It also picks up deer crossing or playing in the drive. My monitor is in a front window since the sensor & monitor have to communicate through my woods. The sensor is about 1300 ft through the woods from the front of my house, and it works great. I would definitely buy again.

One of my best purchases ever.
One of the best thing ever. I have them on both my driveways and one by my front door. They always alert me if someone is coming and never fail.

Working well
I ordered 4 to keep watch in my backyard and they do cover a long distance. They sound they create is very loud so make sure you lower the volume. At one time I had to turn off because the item were able to detect even the smallest motion. So far they have survived extreme heat, rain, wind and very cold weather.

E-MACRO SENSOR "NOT JUST FOR" DRIVEWAY
I purchased 3 of these "so-called Driveway Sensors" for our driveway, front door/porch, and Florida room entrance. I receive multiple packages weekly and was frustrated not knowing what door packages would be delivered. Sometimes I need to sign for packages and would be anxiously watching most of the day. Now I get 3 distinctive chime alerts when the delivery truck pulls into our driveway and another chime indicating which door. These sensors-receiver save me a lot of anxiety and time. The installations were varied and easy. The 3 sensor installations started with our driveway. I was going to use a 4ft post next to the driveway but thought it may be a little unsightly. I took a small step-ladder and placed it at the rear of our mailbox with the sensor on it. I found that a 55-degree angle worked best at preventing false turn-around alerts in our driveway and picking up heat/movement at about 20-30ft into our driveway (see photos, mailbox & mitered woodblock). This angle also prevented drive-by traffic from setting the alarm off. I drove by our mailbox east and west on our road while my wife listened to the receiver while on her cell phone with me. The front door/porch installation was next. I used the supplied screws to install this at a 4ft height on a porch post next to our entry (see photo). It works perfectly. The last sensor was installed on our brick a few feet from our Florida room door (see photo). I used "Alien Tape" to secure the sensor to the brick and avoided using concrete anchors-screws. So far so good. Would I purchase again? I just purchased 2 more of these for 2 friends for Christmas. NOTE: I emailed the manufacturer an inquiry reference using these with Alexa. They emailed me back and said that they are working on a smart home version that would include Alexa.

The sensor is not better than it was previously.
I had the previous generation from emacros bought in 2023 which is the silver center with black ring around the outside of the base unit. The new 2024 version (all black base unit) touts a better sensor but it doesn't deliver. It actually seems worse and misses car entirely that the previous sensor would have picked up. Also the speaker is cheaper than either of the previous models. I don't think it's an upgrade at all, it's made with cheaper parts and is less reliable The problem with the 2023 sensor is that it didn't seem to be reliable for more than a year then I would get false alarms like crazy. I'm unimpressed with Emacros products. My original driveway sensor was a hosmart brand from amazon and that was the best one I ever owned. It lasted for well over 5 years and was way more accurate than either of these emacros units from 2023 or 2024. I would stay away from emacros driveway alarms alltogether. I've also developed some habits of wiping down the sensors with a wet paper towel to make sure dirt is not collecting and spider webs are gone. I also have a battery powered flood light that I jump up and grab when it goes off. I've caught Deer, Racoons, Cats, Possum all setting it off so I know when it's really working or not Then I purchased a blank shotgun shell trip wire device from amazon and scared the deer so bad they don't walk in my driveway anymore.

"My experiences"
I bought a set of 3 motion detectors and 1 receiving station - (and “later” an additional motion detector) - because I was dissatisfied with “previous” motion detectors (which I bought -– from the hardware store - for a price of – approximately - 10 dollar). When „testing“ the „set of 3 motion detectors (And „later“ I bought an additional motion detector) - I made a "big" mistake - because I didn't immediately watch the video about „pairing“ (= Connecting the motion detectors with receiving station). The motion detectors „from the set“ were already connected „(paired“) to the receiving unit – by „seller“. For „connecting“ the additional motion detector with receiving station - you must follow the seller's instructions from the video. The "connecting" (= „PAIRING“) worked differently "here" - than I suspected at the "beginning" of my test (So - when I didn't see the video yet). I have at home (from another seller) a „humidity receiver unit“ und 5 „humidity sensors“ – which are „paired“ with 433 Mhz - too. If I restart my „humidity receiver unit“ - then it "automatically" searches for the humidity sensors. I “mistakenly” assumed that the „motion detector receiving unit“ - “automatically” searches for the motion detectors (“after a restart” of receiving unit). However, you must (especially if you buy an additional motion detector) "follow" the "instructions" in the video - because otherwise the motion detector cannot be connected to the receiving station. That's why I suspected - that the motion detector wasn't working (or is not „compatible“). Luckily, the seller helped me quickly with this matter - via email. Here was the solution to my „problem“: I pressed the button for a long time - until all the indicator lights start flashing. The “additional” motion detector must first be switched off. If all the control lights on the receiving unit flash - then you have to select the "wanted" channel. And only then is the (additional) motion detector “connected” to the receiving station. It was of course my "fault" - that I didn't watch the video immediately. So far - (as mentioned above) I have often bought motion detectors ("without radio waves") in hardware stores. And here are my “previous” experiences - with these detectors from hardware stores: I have (in the past) already tested a few ("rather" very cheap = approx. 10 dollars each) motion detectors "without radio transmission" ("from the DIY store") in the "outdoor area". And unfortunately (very many) - especially cheap - "infra-red motion detectors" often had difficulties working "properly". Either no alarm was reported - even though a car or a person was moving in front of the motion detector. Or too many "completely wrong" alarms were reported - i.e. "nothing" moved in front of the sensor, etc.... So I was very nicely surprised - when I "finally" bought an infrared motion detector set from „this“ seller - which ("roughly estimated") - works for me 95% to 99% - really "correctly". Of course I made sure - that there are no branches of trees (Or something "similar") - in the "sensor detection range" - because ("probably") - even with this motion detector - the danger could increase - that error alarms will appear. So far - it is the "best" infrared motion detector (At a rather „reasonable price“) for me - which I have tried in the "outdoor area". P.S.: There is also a receiving unit - which works with 4 AA batteries (or mains connection = POWER SUPPLY: AC 120 Volt/DC 5 Volt. Or you buy a receiving unit - which you “only” operate with a mains connection (=POWER SUPPLY: AC 120 Volt/DC 5 Volt). Personally, I always connect a ("charged") power bank when I want to "test" the receiving station outdoors. Because the seller reacted so "quickly" to my "problem" - I decided - to "design" my "FEEDBACK" a little more detailed.

Best thing to prevent car break ins at our house
We bought several of these units in 2019-2020 after some thieves attempted to break into our trucks one night. We live in a rural area so we decided driveway motion sensors would be a good fit. We spent around $500 when all was said and done to have these all around our property. They have on two more occasions alerted us to thieves in which we were able to scare them away. They have also been great at alerting us to people at other areas of our property. Different tones for different areas. We added the newest Lorex camera system with NVR and both the emacros by using the audible alert and the Lorex with continual recording and alerts has been awesome. We have had 3 outdoor sensors fail. Two due to battery and one due to moisture inside the unit. Nina at emacros sent me a new sensor and sent me info on how to buy two more of the specialized batteries they use through eBay. They have been very helpful anytime I have emailed them over the last 4 years. I highly recommend their driveway sensors.
