The history of the Mountain Wave Project that we sponsored tells the story of two courageous glider pilots who flew over Mount Everest (8848 metres) at icy temperatures as low as -46° and, together with the German Aerospace Center (DLR), undertook the first 3D measurement of the mountain, in order to identify better rescue routes for mountain climbers, amongst other things. The extraordinary Junkers automatic chronograph "Mount Everest", which was designed specifically for this project, has a dial so blue that it mirrors the sky that surrounds the highest peak on earth. This watch has a 40mm case, mechanic (self-winding) movement, and up to 100m water resistance. It also features SuperLuminova-treated digits/indices for easy readbility in the dark.

Very nice unpretentious watch
Beautiful watch, it is now my favorite. The face almost looks black until you see it in bright daylight. Then you can see the deep blue sunburst. My eyes aren't as sharp up close as they use to be; however, this watch is very easy to read. The polished silver hands and numbers contrast sharply against the dark blue dial making it very easy to see.Also, the hands and numbers are very luminous but the lum itself is not noticeable on the numbers and hands as it usually is own most watches.The watch also hacks and seems to keep time well.The leather strap is really nice and well made and breaks in easily.I would highly recommend this watch as it can be worn casual or for business.

Awesome Watch!
This is my first automatic watch. I really wanted to get one for some time, but wanted to do some research first, not just go and blindly buy something.I acquired some basic knowledge about movements and decided on the cost. I think this watch fits the bill exceptionally well. A really good automatic movement encased in a handsome watch, with a beautiful face and hands. The face's color and perceived texture look so very nice, a pleasure to look at. The size may be on the slightly larger side for some people, but I find it a perfect compromise between elegance and legibility, as I have started having trouble seeing well up close.As someone else has noted, there is a plastic frame holding the movement in place, which is visible through the glass back of the watch. It is a little detrimental to the otherwise perfect experience of owning, using and seeing the watch mechanism work, but nothing is perfect, much less a low-cost watch. I personally love it and recommend it highly!

Unzureichende Bedienungsanleitung
Bedienungsanleitung ist äußerst dürftig. Eine richtige Datumsanzeige erreichte ich erst nach ein paar Tagen und verschärftem Nachdenken. Jede Uhr von Aldi für 9,99 € hat eine bessere Bedienungsanleitung. – Datumsanzeige außerdem zu klein für über Fünfzigjährige. Ich als Achtundsiebzigjähriger benutze zum Ablesen des Datums eine Leselupe.
