Brilliant phone
Google's Pixel 4a was precisely what I needed. For complex reasons, I needed a smart phone that could handle apps that my older, cheaper smart phone couldn't access. Most of the phones that had this higher capacity were $400+. But then I found this "renewed" phone. It's fast, it's innovative. It's a bargain, and it looks brand new and performs like new. The only problem I had was receiving the phone. It was delivered by UPS but, unfortunately, it wasn't delivered to me. The photo showed the package outside someone else's dwelling. This was not the seller's fault, of course. When I went on line, UPS's menu said it was delivered. The menu did not allow me to write that it wasn't delivered to me. The next day, I saw a parked UPS delivery van, and I stopped and talked to its driver. I explained my problem, and he took down all my information. On the following day, I received the phone at around 6:00 p.m. I want to stress that the seller was helpful throughout this period. I would recommend SoonerSoft Electronics to all my friends.

Compact budget phone
I bought the refurbished Pixel 4a back around December 2020. It was about $35 less than brand new price. I heard alot of good reviews as it being a great budget compact Android phone, the Apple competition was an IPhone SE 2020, but that was $150 more and less storage space. Right out of the box I noticed there were noticeable scratches along the bottom rear of the phone. It was probably only cosmetic damages and nothing to affect the performance, but being the OCD I am, I decided to return it and get a brand new one from a carrier since they were doing a $100 off promo. I've had the phone for about 8 months now and it's been a great phone, I have no problems. However, if I was going to get nit-picky, I'd say the phone has 1-2 second delays/hiccups occasionally. I've learned to live with it, this is not a top of the line phone. I don't play games on this phone so I can't say in the graphics hardware department, but YouTube has been great. The battery life feels a bit lackluster as under moderate to heavy usage I have to recharge the phone at least twice a day, but this is understandable for a small compact size and price. Overall I think it's a good phone for the price Pros: Great Price for what you get Amazing photos, amazing colors, and it has night photos Compact size!! Alot of phones recently are getting larger than 6inches+. I wanted something small I can leave in my pockets and not feel bulky all day Cons: Occasional lags, it's Very Very minor, but it's still there Finger print reader requires a few tries Mediocre battery life

Paid for excellent refurbished Pixel 4a, got a badly used one.
Google Pixel 4a FROM THE ADVERTISEMENT IN AMAZON: The product is refurbished, fully functional, and in excellent condition. Backed by the 90-day Amazon Renewed Guarantee. - This pre-owned product has been professionally inspected, tested and cleaned by Amazon qualified vendors. - This product is in "Excellent condition". The screen and body show no signs of cosmetic damage visible from 12 inches away. What's in the box: 18W USB-C® power adapter 1 m USB-C to USB-C cable (USB 2.0) Quick Start Guide Quick Switch Adapter SIM tool Unlocked Android phone IN REALITY: Dirty, back plate looks like it has been used to sand a concrete floor. Its over all cosmetic condition is quite poor. I paid extra and picked the "excellent condition/refurbished" version of the three available tiers. There is nothing the seller could have refurbish, as the phone is glued shut, but I did expect at least a nice looking one, with the promised type of charged, cable, SIM tool and UNLOCKED! The phone is carrier unlocked only, not OEM unlocked, so I can not install a custom ROM. It's a Christmas present, so returning is a not a good option time wise. I'll put it in a nice Otterbox case, but not happy at all. Took two new photos 75 days out of 90 days warranty for the "excellent" refurbished phone, when returning it. Two sides of the screen open 5 mm (1/5"). The cell was only kept together by the phone case. UPDATE 4-17-23: Phone returned to the seller 5 weeks ago, but they did not mark it as received for Amazon. Had to contact Amazon customer service to get the refund. Luckily UPS had provided me their record of delivery. REALLY avoid the seller thegadgetdeals

Solid, compact phone.
I love this compact phone. The battery could last most of the day, even after 11 months of use, and I really appreciated the crisp display. The computer-enhanced 12MP camera punched above its weight. I also extensively used the convenient Google Recorder app, which is unfortunately exclusive to Pixel phones. After owning the phone for 11 months, the screen digitizer finally broke one time I dropped the phone. I would buy a refurbished Pixel again.

Fast shipping and screen protectors pre-installed.
I ordered 2 of these from this seller and they arrived in 4 days (not a prime member), whereas the other sellers I looked at had a 2 week lead time. As a pleasant surprise, when the phones arrived I discovered that the seller had very helpfully installed tempered glass screen protectors on both phones prior to shipping. I can't speak about their customer service because I didn't need it, but based on the rest of the experience I have no doubt that they provide good customer service as well. The phones both have really good batteries in them. Note: I rated the "Face Recognition Feature" at 5 stars because this phone is INCAPABLE of facial recognition which is a HUGE FEATURE. Facial recognition is used by the tech companies, criminals, and intelligence agencies to conduct emotional surveillance on phone users. With a facial recognition capable phone, not only do they know what articles you are reading, but they also know exactly where your eyes are looking in the article (eye tracking), and can read your facial emotional response to what you are reading, so they have an indication of what you think about it. This technology is extremely abusive and the "Hey I can unlock my phone with my face" convenience is not worth it. Especially considering how ridiculously insecure smart phones are (Snowden Leaks), due to GSM chips installing new CPU/GSM firmware from any GSM device "claiming" to be a cell phone tower. Yes, that's right, your phone can be hacked without any indication by anyone within a hundred or so feet of you! Qualcomm has not patched the vulnerability (Carrier signing keys would be an easy solution) due to the pressure from the Federal Government to leave the backdoor open. Why there has not yet been a class action civil lawsuit against Qualcomm is quite perplexing. I left the "Fingerprint reader" feature unrated as I haven't tried it. All current forms of bio-metric authentication can be used by bad actors to force you to unlock your phone without your consent. Passwords or swipe patterns (as long as you remember to wipe off the screen) are far more secure. Two factor (password/swipe + bio-metric) would be excellent, but not offered yet.

All that I hoped for.
I have had a Pixel 4a for 3 or 4 years and am very happy with it. But I wanted another sans sim to use via WiFi in my car when I don't have my regular phone with me. Hence this one. It arrived with charger and cable and looks like in new condition. It is indeed unlocked. On startup, it said that it was in the Android beta program and the developer mode was active. I turned that off. Then I installed all my apps and set it up to exactly shadow my main phone. Battery life is excellent. I charged both phones to 100%, then left them on. The next day my main phone battery charge was less than this one. So, very happy with the battery and condition of the phone. Works perfectly. Not locked to any cell provider. Worked out really great for me.

I am pleasantly surprised with the quality of an Amazon reconditioned phone!
I needed an update to my Pixel 3 phone. I tried a reconditioned Pixel 6a - good grief! HUGE, Heavy, too big for pockets - NOPE! So I returned that one after I got this Pixel 4a - It does not have 5G - I won't have it in my rural area until the phone providers in town quit laughing. We have a gas station - finally with gas again - and one stop light - we are lucky to get oxygen - we do have a $General. So a 4G phone works fine and this one seems to work better than the old Pixel 3 - I can actually make phone calls on the 4a from home! Before I could only text. The Pixel phones have been taking superb pictures for a long time - I got night shots 5 years ago! So that has stayed good. The 4a is a perfect size - it is not too heavy, it doesn't make my shorts fall down when it's in my pocket, and the fingerprint recognition on the back of the phone works perfectly! I could not get the fingerprint thing to work on the Pixel 6 and hated the glass screen. I just love that this reconditioned phone turned out so great! Maybe Pixel will get the idea that they don't need to make a heavy brick of a phone like the 1990s. Keep it light! I am very happy with this purchase!

UPDATING to (3) - see below ZERO Rating - buyer beware
Update to below review -I'm updating the rating to 3 star: although the seller doesnt work weekends - they did reach back on Sunday through an Amazon email* *NOTE Amazon sends you all kinds of emails in your regular email but of course they dont send you important one's like a seller response - so you have to login into AMAzon to find if/when a seller responds (this is a DING against amazon). Getting back to the seller who i ended up speaking in person over the phone - she immediately sent me a shipping postage receipt to send back the default phone and has indicated once rec'd she will expedite the shipment of the replacement phone.. I voiced to her my concern if this replacement phone does the same thing even 6 months down the road and it sounds that she will back me up. I understand that i bought a renewed electronic (ive had them before- w/o major issues) and sometimes things may go awry, so for the customer service from the customer end i'm currently updating rating to a 3. I will update review again based on the phone replacement but I will wait a few months to do so. Original review below__________________________ I was LOVING this phone (great memory, battery life, light to hold, small, good sppeds, good pics) then LESS THEN 30 days of its purchase it STOPPED TURNING ON.. tried to reset.. its weekend and cant get a hold of seller (which is ludicrous), there is no damage to the phone .. So i have reached out to the seller through Amazon and will see what happens.. I will update this review based upon the response.. so far being i have to wait 2 days for something like a cell phone.. which we is used daily and for business the 2 day wait for customer service on this is unacceptable.. I had good hopes and was optimistic at first but now I'm thinking i should have listened to the pessimistic side that you cant trust 3rd party sellers here's my msg sent thru amazon to the seller I rec'd my pixel 4a 1/29/22.. today 2/26/22 it stopped turning on, there is no damage to the phone. I've tried taking out sim card, putting on charger nothing is working. I'm pretty upset that this is happening this was not a cheap purchase.. and now i'm very leary of your company . I need this fixed_replaced ASAP. I'm willing to get a replacement ASAP but if this happens with the replacement I'm definitely asking for a refund even if it stops working 6 months out.. There is absolutely no reason why this should be happening on top of that being its Saturday no one at electronic wireless is answering the phone.. it says to send an email but no email address is given super upset. I need to be contacted asap and this situation needs to be addressed ASAP with a replacement sent out and expedited

A fuir !
A éviter !

That it works as said from the seller
As a longtime Xiaomi user and avid Call of Duty player, the Google Pixel blew me away—it's incredibly powerful, and for the first time I can max the graphics without any lag. The camera is amazing, stock Android feels super smooth, and overall it’s a clean, fast, and reliable phone. Buy one !

Good ole phone
For the phone of its age and life - it worked surprisingly well. No complains at all.

Excelente.
Buen producto.
