Easy Install , Great Price
So far so good not as quite as I'd like but it's not extremely noisy. I've had it for about a year with no issues. Great price easy install.

We've had it for months it's a great and reliable device.
Okay we've had it for months now. It still works as well as it did new along with being quite. It also destroyed everything we have thrown into it without issue so it's a great choice. The one I replaced was a badger unit that had a two year warranty and was in the house when we bought it just about 1 3/4 years ago. I would imagine it was in there for 3 years because I know it was there when we looked at the house initially so I would imagine it had been there at a minimum of 6 months probably a little longer before we chose this house and finished with the contract. So the installation was easy relatively I actually wired a new power outlet because I had already bought it rather than hard wiring it which I could have done it either way but I bought the outlet and am an experienced Low Voltage/Communications electrician. That fact is not mentioned anywhere. I looked for it when I bought it and is why I had already bought the extra wall outlet, but hard wiring it is very simple as well you take a metal plate off the bottom held on by a bolt and there are a white, green and black wire coupled with pinch on wire grommets underneath to the plug in cord. I also did not know Waste King is Owned by MOEN you may have seen there faucets in Home Depot there a relatively well regarded brand sold at Home Depot or Lowe's home improvement and I imagine many other stores of that type. I found it out when I went to there website to see if I needed to register it for the warranty. Another thing I liked is the standing warranty on this unit is 8 years and from what I could tell 10 years on the Legend series which compared to the Badger unit I took out beats its standing warranty by 400% (as mentioned earlier the badgers warranty was 2 years which seems pretty low for a home utilitarian device like this to me) so I really like the warranty it is all stainless steel inside and the magnet motor on this unit is also probably about a quarter of the noise the old one made. I also think the price on this unit was outstanding and it was here in 2 days so no complaints anywhere from me. I will update this if I run into any issues though! As far as it goes it seems like a very solid unit to me.

Quiet, efficient disposal, lousy splash guard.
PRODUCT NOTES: Quiet, efficient, fast installation. All of these things are true. The splash guard that comes with the product is a bit too restrictive in my opinion. Tough to get the food to go down there with just the force of the faucet, even using the sprayer. I may look into a replacement for that piece. Otherwise, fully satisfied with this product. INSTALL NOTES: The EZ Mount was a 5 minute job on my stainless steal sink and did NOT require plumbers putty. Easiest install I could've imagined for the hardware.A little tough to get it fully seated on the mount, but I enlisted some muscles rather than add the dish soap they suggested. Probably would've worked out fine with a little lubricant, but this worked too. If you want to hardwire, things get a little bit... interesting. The installed cord comes through a rubber gasket at the bottom/back of the disposal. Does NOT remove easily, although with some wire snips, I managed to destroy enough of one side to get the other out. Installing the hardwire was a piece of cake at that point, as was closing the whole thing back up. The main body at the top is BIG!! It actually ran afoul of one of my water lines, so I'll have to go back at a later date and have a plumber move it back out of the way. Install with the dishwasher hose and existing drain was very simple, they provide plenty of pipe, so if you had a Badger series, it should work fine. My only issue was that there were two areas that appeared to be tight but weren't, leading to some troubleshooting. One was my fault, where the screw clamp stopped tightening, but it was just jammed, not tight on the dishwasher line. The other was on the drain tube, which I had tightened down all the way, but apparently seated itself differently and required additional tightening afterwards. Total time to install, including cutting out the provided electrical and hardwiring: 1 hour (Full Disclosure: I'm an engineer, but haven't done much plumbing.) Without hardwire changes, it would've been 30 minutes.

Great disposal
This was easy to install easy to use. I used a jack to hold in place for final install. Easier then getting two people under the sink. The disposal is not very heavy, but is but not easy to hold in place for final assembly. Not loud and it takes care of business.

Great product, horrible Amazon delivery
Waste King is great out of the box. Installation was surprisingly easy (less than 30 minutes) and it's working perfectly. Quiet, no vibration, and powerful. So far, so good. The 5 stars are for the product only. I wish I could give Amazon a separate 1 star for the delivery. This thing was delivered to an address two blocks away from my house. Conveniently, the driver neglected to take a picture of the completed delivery (as they've done with every other delivery I've received) and sent no email confirming delivery. If this was just an accidental mis-delivery, how did they also just happen to forget the picture and email as well? It's also very convenient that I can't report the driver because it's impossible to do so without the delivery confirmation. I guess this driver just didn't want to finish their route and dumped my package and who knows how many others. Fortunately for me the good people who received my order actually got in their car and drove it over to my house. They actually did Amazon's job and that was not their responsibility. I wanted to point out Amazon's poor job but didn't want to unfairly blame the product, hence the 5 stars. Thanks.

King of disposals
Wow! Does this thing work! Replaced a Badger 1 that came with the house. This was a very poor performer - couldn't really put anything down the drain. Carrots, potatoes and the like inevitably caused a clog at the drain elbow. The Badger disposal chopped up the item, but only fine enough for it to quickly clump in the outlet. After disconnecting everything under the sink for the umpteenth time in a year, I had enough. Read all of the reviews. Given that Badger and Insinkerator are the same, I was not going there again. (Also, I had installed an Insinkerator in a previous house and found the process nearly impossible. Literally had to use a 2 x 4 to lever the disposal into place, but that is another story.) So Waste King was not a big risk, particularly considering the glowing reviews. Well, those reviews are well deserved, let me tell you. I did install an electrical outlet under the sink, for the Badger was hard wired. Folks, if you find this situation, DO NOT cut the WK plug off. Do the work needed, install a metal junction box and wire an outlet. Then plug the WK into the outlet. It will take you a half hour and help prevent a house fire. Putting this disposal in was a snap. The only issue was that the outlet was an inch lower than on the Badger, so I had to run to Depot to get another drain piece. (You might want to scope this out on the Waste King schematics before getting under the sink.) The "easy mount" system is just that - it is almost too easy - I kept thinking there was something more to be done. Started off with a cup of ice. Vroooom! The WK took care of this with ease. Of course, I was replacing a 1/4 hp device with one that is 3/4 hp. But, very little noise. Lots and lots of power. I love it. Can't wait to give it some carrots!

A leak started on year 3 of 8 YEAR WARRANTY
3 years in to 8 year warrantee I noticed a drip under my sink coming from the disposal.. I immediately though it would be coming from the plumbing, but it was not. Upon removal of the unit from under the sink, I noticed the insulation was saturated and the bottom of the motor was rusting. It was apparent that the seal between the upper and lower halves of the motor had failed and been leaking for some time but the sound insulation around the disposal had been absorbing the slow leaking water, so, it was not noticeable for a long period of time. Until now, we have been very happy with this dispoal. It still works great and we have never had it seize up or throw a breaker. I was about to get a new o-ring and repair the seal myself, but, since it was only three years in to an 8 year warranty, I decided to call Waste King. I found the phone number to call for warranty issues and was shocked to hear Moen was the company taking my call. After 5 or 10 minutes of conversation with a very pleasant rep, I was told that the warrantee did not cover leaks, but after the rep revieved a couple pics I sent showing the rust, she said that what she could do was replace the unit with a new one, but could not offer the cost of labor to install. I expressed to her my complete satisfaction with the solution she offered as I had installed the dispisal originally. I was told the item was out of stock for another two days, but it would ship to me upon the restocking. She said it would arrive in approximately 10 to 14 days after it was back in stock. I asked about expedited shipping and was offered next day air from Nevada to Florida for $25.00 which I prompltly paid and have already recieved the replacement disposal. I have always been very happy with the 3/4 h.p. disposal and would not have thought any less of the product if I had needed to replace to O-ring to repair the seal. But I am even more pleased with the way customer service and Moen handled my claim. I would not only by another one of these, because it is a great product, but would recomend it to anyone in need and feel even more strongly knowing how Moen stands behind all their products. A lot od disposals only come with a one or two year warrantee. This unit iffered an 8 year warranty. I was told I still have 5 years remaining if any more issues were to arrise. What more couls I ask for.

Waste (of time) King
There are a few other 1-star reviews that had the same issue as me where it is just simply impossible to twist the mount ring onto the top of the garbage disposal. I strongly suspect the issue is the cushion mount, which doesn't seem to fit correctly. Short review: I will never buy another EZ mount garbage disposal after my troubles with this thing. Dry fitting the cushion mount and mount ring onto the garbage disposal is possible, but the cushion mount gets bunched up, so initially my concern was that it would leak since it didn't seem to line up well. However, once the mount ring and cushion mount are fitted onto the sink flange, it takes tremendous downward force to even get the mount ring level with the little notches on the hopper and there's no way you can pull the mount ring down enough to twist it into place (if you do manage to pull hard enough to almost get it lined up, the cushion mount gets ripped off the pipe). Included in my attempts was using my car jack to get the disposal aligned perfectly with upward pressure then pulling the mount ring down as hard as I could, then tapping with a hammer, but even with max effort I can't even get close to pulling the mount ring down past the tabs that need to be locked into place. It seems like the cushion mount is oversized (too thick, and the diameter seems too wide), which makes me wonder if I got either a badly made piece or accidentally received one from one of their larger models? I bought this as "used - like new" condition so I bet someone else had the same issue with this exact model, or they needed the cushion mount and put a different one in the box before returning it. This is annoying since there wasn't a definite problem (though I had my suspicions) until basically the very last step of installation. I had already cut the power cord out, hardwired this one in, took out the old 3-bolt assembly, and installed this new sink flange with plumber's putty. After spending about 90 minutes taking apart all the old stuff, cleaning out the sink pipes, and putting this new assembly together, I wrestled with trying to connect the disposal with the faulty pieces for another 90 minutes before giving up. Once I got the disposal hardwired in, I tested that it worked and can attest that this thing would be pretty quiet if you can get it hung. The only positive about this experience is that, despite cutting the power cord and probably getting plumber's putty stuck to the underside of the sink flange, Amazon is still willing to offer a refund.

Awesome
Super easy to install. Great price from Amazon. The warranty is great. This is quieter than other units I’ve had in the past. It does have a very slight clank when it starts.

Easy install and not as lout as the one in ...
Easy install and not as lout as the one in my previous apartment. Just wish the upper sink flange fit a little better so you would not have to use quite so much plumbers putty. Otherwise well worth the cost.
