Use this to hold my binoculars for hours - I’m that guy that will spend 12 hours looking through binos to find the right deer or bird - and thus adapter fits as described with top-end binoculars and the style of tripod mount they are built for. There is a little play in the attachment, but without that play , I think one would need a tool to disconnect from the mount.Solid construction. Built right.

Great way to set up and tear down Binos on a tripod quickly and quietly
Provides good stability with minimal movement. The tolerance in the slot is just slightly larger than I would prefer, but it is almost never noticeable.The reason I only gave it 4 stars is because the length of the post(threads) causes it to sit at an angle in relation to the binoculars. The spacers that are provided help, but assuming that many binoculars have different depth and orientation of threads they cannot fit every different brand and model.

The Best Bino Accessory on the Market
Seriously, Field Optics Research has outdone themselves with their product lineup. There is simply no better value in bino mounts on the market today. I have one of these receiver nuts on every pair of binos I own. They are fairly priced and add virtually no weight.If you're a Western hunter, outdoorsman, or wildlife observer, you absolutely need these. If you are still handholding your glass, you are missing out. I don't leave home without a pair of binos and a monopod with the rapid release adapter.
