808 Audio Hex SL Portable Bluetooth Speaker - Blue

I bought 2 of these in 2021, one for home use & one for our RV. They both are still working very good with no problems. I think the sound is great. I would absolutely recommend.

I recently bought my first house and my mom let me barrow hers so I wouldn't have to work on the empty house with no sounds. I knew she loved the speaker but I had never used it. So when she let me barrow hers, it was amazing. I could put it upstairs, be downstairs and hear it perfectly. It was super loud and has at least a 6 hour battery life. It was heavier than I expected, which was nice since I had it all the way up it never fell over or anything. When o had to give my mom back the speaker I found myself craving how loud the speaker was. Just purchased this one and I cannot wait! Will buy again!

Thirty day review. SET UP- Pairing with my iphone 6 was simple the first time and subsequently it finds my phone automatically and within seconds. However when I tried to pair the speaker with my seven year old imac it froze my computer and I had to shut it down and restart it manually. I'm going to give the speaker the benefit of the doubt because at this point my imac is practically a spinning beach ball symposium. SOUND- I'm no audiophile but I think it sounds better than you have a right to expect from a $60 bluetooth speaker. And a great thing about it being an omnidirectional speaker is that if you put it a few inches from the wall you get a nice echo effect. WORKMANSHIP- Stylish and seems very well made . The base is weighted which will prevent it from tipping over; one concern I had when I ordered it. I did no rigorous testing but 6 hours seems about right for battery life. NEGATIVES- Has two annoying and unnecessary that keep me from giving it five stars. It vocally warns you incessantly when the battery is low so instead of being able to enjoy your music for the last 20 minutes you have to listen to the speaker tell you the battery is low. The speaker also has totally rude warning sound(sounds like a digital fart) when it turns off because it is not receiving a signal. Two distinct beeps would have been a much better way of handling both these issues.

This item is absolutely amazing! Sound quality is wonderful, and love that I can take it anywhere - so convenient. Even bought an additional one for a gift, and the recipient is just as pleased with it as I am.

Disappointed in speaker not good deep base like the hard to find old 808 speaker my Alexa or my phone sounds much better. Buy something better
