If you like cold refreshing cocktails on a hot summer day I strongly encourage you to consider this mug set.Much of what cocktails are about is the presentation and the experience. These mugs effectively provide that.We made Moscow Mule cocktails and poured them into each mug over ice. We added the copper straws. Wow. They were ice cold and delicious. The esthetics of the mugs added a lot to the experience. You just wouldn't get this with a conventional cocktail glass.At first, I was skeptical about the copper straws. When I sipped from one, I got the "ice cold" sensation that you wouldn't get from a paper or plastic straw. I'm sold on them.These mugs are a bit lightweight but that doesn't attract from their utility. They are beautifully finished and I wouldn't hesitate to use them for entertaining. I only wish I had four instead of two.The set must be washed by hand -- not in the dishwasher. The manual states they will oxidize over time and acquire a natural aged copper look.Not sure you want a Moscow Mule? There is a clearly written recipe book that has other cocktails that go well with this copper set. They include: Caipirinha (Brazil's national cocktail), Screwdriver, Mint Julep, Moscow Mule, Pomegranate Mule, Garden Mule and Kentucky Mule.I highly recommend this set. If you can find one from this manufacturer that has four mugs, get it.

The Twisty cocktail spoon and straws are a brighter copper than the mugs and a cute thing to have. It was packaged very nicely, would be a great gift to send directly. It comes with a book with care instructions (you need to wash gently, and dry immediately to avoid oxidation), and it has some cocktail recipes too. Overall, the best mule set I have, husband is quite happy it's real copper!UPDATE: MAKE SURE YOU READ HOW TO TAKE CARE OF IT! I was taking good care of it at first, wiping it down after each use to dry it etc. But my husband left it in the sink one night and it's turned a weird corroded color. The spoon and straw didn't last one use, but the cups are still usable. I tried every trick in the book to restore them but they never really recovered. Not the fault of the cup, just means they're real copper and you gotta treat them accordingly if you want them to stay nice!

These copper mugs are notable, mainly, for fulfilling the aesthetic requirements of a specific cocktail known as a "Moscow Mule" which is supposed to be drunk from a hammered copper mug. I don't know why my wife wanted these, since neither of us drink Moscow Mules. But she did, and we got them, and they're, well, interesting....These come as part of a kit, comprising, I suppose, all the elements necessary for the full Moscow Mule experience: a shot glass (which probably should be called a shot "copper"), two copper straws, a metal spoon and two hammered copper mugs.The entirety is a bit underwhelming, partially because though hammered copper looks cool in pictures, it feels thin and cheap in person. This is not a problem unique to this set. To be hammerable, copper must be thin. So I suspect every Moscow Mule mug set made of hammered copper is similarly thin.Nevertheless, because copper transmits heat fabulously, these are not the things for serving grandchildren hot cocoa. They will burn their hands. A Moscow Mule is a cold drink. It's weird to drink cold liquid from a mug, but that's how these are designed to be used.If you like Moscow Mules, you will no doubt enjoy this kit. If you don't, you probably have no good reason to get these--like us.

I’m a bourbon drinker. Neat. My other favorite beverages are beer, wine, and coffee. Notice that the ingredients for a Moscow Mule aren’t on that list. It’s not like I’m opposed to it, I’ve just never had one. But now I suppose I’ll have to try one or three.The first thing I’ll say about these is that they have already improved the look of my bar. I love the hammered copper look. It comes with two 16 oz. mugs, 2 straws, a bar spoon, a double jigger, and a booklet with a recipe for the drink (and others). They are all copper except for the booklet.As others have remarked, they are a bit on the thin side and very light. But the construction seems good and as long as you aren’t living in a frat house, they should hold up to normal use.

Well fortunately these are ideal for making and enjoying a Mule in.There's nothing like the feeling of sipping an ice cold Mule on a hot summer day out of one of these copper mugs, the copper and ice working in concert to plunge the temperature to the frosty depths, ensuring your beverage is chilled until you finish it off.I recommend this for anyone who appreciates a Moscow Mule because a copper mug is in a class of its own in regards to best vessel to enjoy a Mule in. 4/5 stars

These are well made and copper on the outside in inside. I was given some cups like this before as a gift and the inside was stainless steel which kind of negates the point of having a copper cup.The set came with a jigger, long handle copper stir spoon and two copper straws. They are great for cocktails at home and the booklet included with the cups came with a few recipes to try out.If you are a fan of Moscow Mules in their various forms these are a must have for your cocktail nook.
