i love this toy because my shiba loves this toy. mr. carrot has become a new favorite. and a major player in our home. he is the new first go-to for my pal. we play a kind of tug-of-war/fetch combo game with it, which is my shiba's favorite game. my dog will grab a toy, get my attention to come after him, which of course i do. i try and get the toy, which he won't let me have, this tug-of-war happens for awhile until i either get it, or he finally let's me have it, then i throw the toy across the apartment (it's long) and he runs and gets it. and then the whole thing starts over again. (get all that?) you know, basically fetch with a fight. but a planned and controlled fight. like marriage counseling. he loves this game. loves it. it's really his only one. so we do this game daily, and have used a myriad of toys throughout the fun. but i love mr. carrot the most of his toys for this game. i find it the easiest toy for me to grab without any worry of either me accidentally hitting my dog with my hands or his teeth accidentally coming into contact with me by scraping or accidentally biting my hands. which knock wood has never happened in almost 2 years of playing this game. mr. carrot is a big part of why this game has stayed safe. plus mr. carrot is just so darn adorable. so 3 cheers for mr. carrot!! hurrah! hurrah! hurrah!

The Booda Soft Bite Medium Carrot Dog Toy is our dog's favorite toy! She adores it! More durable than most of the toys we have tried, this carrot is one of the few toys that she has not destroyed within 24 hours. The squeaker has a great sound, better than those in other squeaker toys we have tried. The squealer is easy for her to work and loud and interesting enough to keep her interested but not so loud or irritating to be obnoxious --- which is a real plus since she loves to play with it over and over and over again. Our puppy loves the sound so much that she enjoys experimenting with the different sounds she can make even more than chewing it! The shape makes it easy for her to carry it in her mouth for such games as fetch. She also likes to cuddle with her head on this soft toy. We adopted a rescue puppy who was terrified of just about everything, including toys. Her initial reaction to this toy was wonderful! This toy helped her come out of her shell and be less afraid of noise in general. I was not sure if the toy would be scary or not but once she found the squeaker noises, she just loved being able to play and make noise herself, making all sorts of variations and rhythms. Although there are many additional things we are doing to help her, this toy was an important step in breaking through her fears. Playing with this toy seemed to embolden her, bringing out this sense of delight and play in her. In addition to an overall very high recommendation of this product for puppies in general, I would add a special recommendation for special needs or rescue puppies as a possible tool to help initial bonding to the owner and to help him/her break through their fears. We now order this product in multiple quantities so we can have one in every room!

Adorable little dog toy, my dog LOVES this toy. He doesn’t even let other dogs near it. And he sleeps with his carrot too. It is torn open and I just got it for 4 months ago. However, for $3?? I don’t mind. It’s honestly the cutest toy. But definitely made for smaller dogs. If you have this to a golden retriever or similar dog in size, this will be ripped open and torn to shred very quickly lol.

So, I will not tell you this toy is durable. We have a Aussie Shepherd mix that has now destroyed two of these, both in less than an hour. However, nothing else has caused such immediate joy from him, either. He loves the squeak. No matter what else is going on, even treats, I can get his attention with this squeaker. Our Lightning loves to chew, and the little leaves atop the carrot are only the beginning. The stuffing gets pulled out, and it squeaks all the way to its demise (to our dog's immense, immense enjoyment). At least they're cheap, and it really doesn't seem any less durable than other plush toys. He destroys those too, he just seems less manic and happy about it.

“Mr. Carrot”, as we call it, is a major #1 favorite of my Bichon Murphy… he loves to carry it everywhere from room to room .. and it is the one he always singles out. Such a ‘love’ of his that I ordered a second to have for a back up…just in case…

I've bought three of these stuffies over time (twice from Amazon) because my little Jack Russell cross really loves them. He runs around with one in his mouth constantly, chomping all the while to get it to squeak - but none of them have fallen apart yet. He does manage to eventually break the squeakers though. He doesn't dissect toys the way some other dogs like to do, so they last a long time for him. The fabric does get dirty, but that's because he drags the toys in and out of the house all the time. Cleaning instructions say to hand wash which is kind of a bummer - but oh well. Next time they need cleaning I'm going to try washing them in the washer anyway - if they don't last as long, that fine given the price and just how much my boy loves these things.

Cute little toy with a squeak

My dog loves it although she did manage to chew a small hole at the end of the carrot after owning it for a few days. She is only three months old and so it will need a little surgery and it will be good as new. Edit- my puppy is now seven months old. She has been playing with it since she was three months old. It lasted about 4 months before I had retire it for a new one. The pictures I have included were taken on the day it was retired. As you can see, it has held up quite well to a Shorkie's continuous play. I'm quite impressed by it and I will be keeping others in stock to have when they too needs to be retired. This toy continues to be one of her favorite toys. (Final pic) A toy lasting four months and costing $5 its her favorite toy, it is certainly worth the money. EDIT #2- My dog is now a year old. This continues to be her favorite toy. She has passed by the teething stage and it continues to love it. The house resembles puppies r us and yet that is the toy she goes to every day. Its the first toy she plays with in the morning and it is the last toy she goes to bed with. God help us if at night time we decide to put it away because she cannot go to bed without it by her side. Her last one has lasted several months. I'm still purchasing others to keep in stock in case the seller stops selling them on amazon. It is literally the item that gives me my free shipping. I hope your dogs will continue to love it because its a great size and its easy for them to make it squeak. Edit #3- The dog is now a year and a half. This carrot continues to be my dog's favorite toy. God help us if we hide it on her because we will get a temper tantrum. Edit #4. My dog is now almost three years old. I continue to have a bunch of them around the house because she has a habit of misplacing them and blames us for not being able to find them. On occasion, her teeth pierce the squeeker inside it so we need to replace it but for under $5, it is by far it is my dog's favorite toy. She can throw it up in the air in such a way that would make her a several major baseball team's mascot with her ability to throw a carrot in such a long distance. It is also the first toy she places under the Christmas tree the moment it goes up. In my experience, it is really a great toy for the small breeds. Edit#4. My dog is now three years old. These carrots are still her favorite toy. Of course I have bought more not because she needs them but because she has a habit of hiding them all over the house. God help us if she doesn't have her carrot to sleep beside. Since my first review, I have given them to several neighbors who have adopted some puppies. Each person has remarked in how durable they are and how much their pups love this toy. I still highly recommend them. I often will add a carrot to get free shipping on an item. Edit #5. My dog is now is 5 years old and she still loves this toy. I have bought other toys from Amazon but this one is always her favorite toy. Nothing has changed except her age. She still loves it and refuses to go to bed without it. New 2024-My dog is now 7 years old and her love for this toy has never faded. The price has doubled since I first started to purchase it, which is okay. It is the only toy she plays with and god help us if we cannot find it at bedtime. She won't go to bed without.

After numerous times seeing this in the pets section on Amazon, I finally did decide to get it. It is a great price for what it is. I was worried it would be a tiny toy for a toy dog, however it is a great size for 60 lb dog! She is not a big chewer so it has stood up to everything and countless throws for fetch. But looking at the grand scheme of things, this would probably not be the best option to give to a big chewer or a teething puppy. However the combined cuteness and affordability, I 100% recommend it!
