TAMTEC-HANA TENS/EMS (Sport Muscle Stimulator) – 8 Programs – Dual Channel Unit

This unit is working amazing I looked at many units that do the same thing but I decided on this one and I was not disappointed with the ability. I have been using it on and off and you do have to get used to it also if you have hairy body parts it’s going to hurt taking the sticky pads off but it’s expected I guess you can handle it. The unit itself is not tiny like many I saw but it’s because it has serious power I can only handle four bars of power and I believe it still has like eight more to go so I don’t think I could ever go that high but people that need it to do that will have just that. Being that it’s not tiny you have to carry it in a back pack or the bag it comes in minor down side. The color of the unit white I do wish they had some other color options. Also I would have loved to have the descriptions of the settings by the buttons where you choose what you want the machine to do I would have to constantly keep going back to the book to see what all the settings do. Or they could have put them on the back of the unit since I’m sure all of the instructions could fit. Also they could have better picture diagrams on the booklet that comes with this unit. I mean it was super basic since I don’t know much about TENS machines or where to place the sticky pads I think that would be very helpful. All in all I think it is an amazing little machine it’s certainly not the cheapest and not the most compact or beautiful one out there but makes up in performance. I think people that need this machine will be happy with their purchase it has helped me with my shin splints and other muscle issues. Hopefully you guys can live pain free or at least make it more tolerable I believe this unit will help minimize that.

I use this to help/rehabilitate a Parkinson's Disease patient with severe left-side neglect. The unit is very straightforward to use, but it can look intimidating. It took a few days for the patient's husband to feel comfortable with it. But once he used it a little he now loves it. We primarily use the R-stim settings, which are a little hard to find on consumer EMS units. When I chose this unit, I did so based on how difficult I felt other units were to use. In my case, the typical operator is someone in their 70s that does not use a computer and does not have a smart phone. So, touch screen based systems feel very foreign. I like this one because the settings are clearly marked. This unit also provides the type of EMS we wanted (Russian stimulation). We use the unit primarily to stimulate the arms/wrists. As for battery life, we haven't had a problem with it yet. It holds a sufficient charge to do several days of treatments 3 times a day. Adding an update over 6 months later. We used this to completely rehabilitate an am/hand that mysteriously went limp (this a severe dementia patient). We continue to use it to exercise the neglected left side, the treatment is guided by a physical therapist (They use various settings/modes) - We have been very very very pleased with this purchase. Maybe others will bump into this review coming from a Parkinson's/dementia search. We really wish we had learned about EMS treatments years earlier. They seem to be a powerful tool for slowing down or in some cases reversing neurological muscle problems. It is also sad that patients have to brave this stuff on their own, but we are very happy we bought/found this unit. We now have 2x2, 2x4, 3x5, and some butterfly electrodes we use.

First of all, this unit is a nice, portable size. The battery lasts several uses and the pads are sticky and effective. Second of all, if you have any interest in simulating labor for a man in your life…give this unit a go!! We enjoyed our Christmas a great deal, hooking all of the menfolk up to this handy dandy torture device. It also offers a great deal of relief when used as intended.

IT works better with some ice on he pain area.

How many of these things have I bought?? This is the last one because it is that good. I was prepared to buy medical grade quality $1000+. The only thing I could complain about is that you are limited to the programs. You can control the strength of the output, but not the time/on off. I like continuous stim, and it does have a program for that, but the other programs go through a sequence that the stim stops/starts. In other words, I would like to pick Russian and have full control over the duration, frequency and actual stim time. This would be easy for them to do. Hands down you will not buy a better unit for the price and I love the ability to charge it, which last for multiple session.

I cannot be any happier with this machine. Unlike other EMS/TENS products sold on Amazon, this unit came with so many accessories, including large and small rubber pads and straps (which never need to be replaced). This was a huge bonus. The TAMTEC SPORT 2 Plus is very user-friendly and it is really strong. The Russian Stim program is excellent for muscle building and I mostly use it on my abs to strengthen my core. The Endurance, Strength, and Resistance programs are also great for toning. You can really feel your muscles contracting when using the machine. Although I bought this unit for gaining muscle, I love that I have the option to use the other programs like IFC and Micro-Current for pain when I need it. In general, I am more than pleased with the product and company. The item arrived on time, was as described, and in my opinion was a real bargain.

While this devices does seem to support all the modes it claims, it has zero adjustability. You get eight preset programs and can only change intensity. No ramp, width or rate. That’s fine for a cheap TENS unit, but this should have more features for the money. The shape of the device is large and isn’t comfortable to hold, so it’s inconvenient to use it while walking around the house. It’s a decent unit, but not worth the money. I sent it back and got a Twin Stim Plus that has all the same therapy types, but lets you adjust them extensively. It’s also a four channel unit and cost less than this. It also has a nice belt clip so I can walk around the house if I need to.

I have been using this product on my lower back (lumbar region) and my knee now for 25 days and I could not be more happy with its performance! I really do not understand some of the negative reviews here and I think Amazon should take a closer look why some people gave lower grades to this product. Maybe they failed to read all the instructions correctly and operate the device correctly. Here is how I have been operating the device as I understood from the booklet instructions. 1. Make sure the device is charged! 2. Put the conductors and pads in the desired location on your body (obeying the instructions for places you should avoid as near your heart, and etc. Please read the instructions). 3. Turn the device on. The switch button is on your right side next to the electrical plug-in charge. 4. Chose what mode of vibration output you want, In this particular product, there are 8 modes of vibration. 5. Set the time you want by pressing the orange button on your right side. 6. Turn the device to vibrate in the desired mode (Is that orange button on your left!) 7. Now you can work the slider button to activate the vibration of the pads. In this particular product, there are two sliders, one for each conductor plugin wire and pads. You will see a scale of bars on the panel as you press that upper button part. (Pressing up goes up, pressing down goes down). Go and press the slider slowly until you feel the first vibration. Then, you work your way up to the degree you can handle. You will probably feel that with time, your body become more used and resistant to the vibration. Then, you slowly press the upper slider button to increase your vibration. Obs: Be careful, it is very easy to forget you have all the conductors attached to your body and if the door bell rings or any other event happens in the house, you don't want to abruptly stand up and start walking with all these wires and the device attached to your body. Unless you will remember to pick up the device and carry with you, you will be dropping the device on the floor. I did this once and thank God it was on a soft part of the carpet. The device has been effective for me to massage and working up the pain. Like I said, I have been using in the lower back, (lumbar region) and knee and I have been feeling some positive results. 3 sets of 30 minutes every day will do very good. Maybe some people needs more time. Sure, as always this device can have different results for different types of people, depending on their physical issues. However, I feel that it is very effective for my case.

Awsome product,worked well with the russian stimulation and got a considerable muscle gain using that unit along with traditional workout the only con is that the unit where you plug the wire are flimsy and i broke the connector but since i got better result than expected i ordered a second unit,hopefully it wont brake again maybe it was just bad luck

This product is awesome to use. I was in a bad car flip back in January 2018 and I've been seeing a chiropractor who told me about EMS and how it will help. He's used the machine on my back during my chiro appointments but it all adds up afterwards so I asked about any EMS product to buy. He recommended anyone that needs a wall plug in but I do not regret my choice of getting the rechargeable one at all.. I can walk around while I have this on my back and go about my daily things at home.

It's exactly like any other device you can buy for cheaper it does not offer what it states for muscle strengthening/ abs and it zapped me

Unit works as it should, I found it helpful for some lower back pain, however, the battery doesnt hold enough power to run for more than 15 mins. Treatments usually last much longer. I'll have to order a name brand 18650 battery if I intend on keeping unit. Otherwise it's useless for only 15mins. For the price, I honestly expected a little higher quality. It would've been passable if you could run the unit plugged in but you can't, it's only able to run on the battery alone. I'm giving it two stars for the inconvenience, otherwise it would've been 4 for functionality.

I always been having knee pain, been going to a therapist every week, but is not possible at this time, therefore, needed a machine that will give me the same type of therapy. My second week, used only one program, so far, this machine seem to help with my knee pain. The intensity adjustment is good but I wish the timer adjustment could be every 5 minutes instead of 15 minutes. The carry case that came with it looked nice and able to keep everything neat inside. To me the unit is quite big in size, it would be good if is half the size then is more portable. The manual that comes with the unit is good but the charging instructions are confusing. Hopefully, someday, they will have newer video instructions on YOUTUBE. For now, this unit have given me everything I needed therefore I think is a good purchase.
