Despite being advertised as 40 MHz signal, the vehicle still picked up the signals from an existing 27 MHz controller in the household. This meant that my 2 grandsons were unable to race their cars together. As the point in buying the car was to enable it to be raced against my other grandson’s car, I had to send it back. I specifically chose this car because it was a different control frequency to the existing car. Most disappointing.

This is a great toy. I bought it for my grand son and he was thrilled. He is five and it would also be suitable for an older child. All the details are amazing such as the doors which open upwards. It is easy to operate and I am surprised that it hasn't run out of batteries yet even though he's playing with it all the time. It was bought as a special treat for trying hard at school. I wanted something really special and was very pleased with the reasonable price as I was prepared to pay more.

My grandons both love Ferraris, and the 7yr old was so happy to get this for his birthday. He's used it indoors and outdoors, finding out that it doesn't like going uphill very much. It's very controllable - some RC cars aren't quite so accurately controlled, but this seems to do as it's told!It's brought out a side of my grandson that I'd never seen before: after using it he puts it away properly in it's box so it will stay looking good for longer. He's never done this before, so I think I'm right in saying that he absolutely loves it. I would recommend this to any child who likes cars.

As something to look at its beautiful. As a remote control car its disappointing. First of all, on hard floors the wheels spin. On carpet it barely moves. Outside, it grips better. The bottom line though is its S-L-O-W. I can quite comfortably walk along side it so I'd reckon it trundles along at up to about 4mph and there the accelaration it slow as well - not exactly Ferarri-like! My kids have smaller RC cars that cost about £10 each and they go about the same speed as this Ferarri.The car responds well to the controls.But the controller, though looking good, is pretty basic. The forward and back buttons are just one speed. There is a button to go a (slightly) faster speed which is strangely positioned below the reverse button, and you have to take your thumb off the forward button to press it.Overall it looks fab but I'm really disappointed in its performance as a RC car. I've given it 3 stars overall but given the price I would give it 2 and a half if I could. It has to be said though my 8 year old son loves it (he's had it 2 days) so far. Whether he'll get bored with using it as a RC car only time will tell.

Bought this as a Christmas present for our 6 year old son as he loves Ferraris. It's his first RC car and we weren't sure if it would stand up to his rigorous testing (!) but he's been playing with it for several months now and it's still going strong. Have been really impressed with the quality. Think it looks more expensive than it was. It was packaged in a nice box so it's good if you're giving it as a gift. We bought the red one and it really looks impressive - as a Ferrari should! Lots of lovely details. Easy to use. Hours of fun! (Not just for my son but for his Daddy too!) We're very happy with our purchase. Would definitely recommend :)

Great quality ferrari remote control car. You need to buy the 5 batteries it takes to operate the car & remote.

The build quality of the car is good. Unfortunately doesn't match the expectations for the price of the product. The wheels on the car are plastic and there is no traction as I have wooden floor. The wheels keep spinning and make a loud noise as the car moves. Unfortunately can't return as my son ripped the packaging out of excitement.

Awesome car, great for kids. Its very good quality. Recommend to buy. China at its finest not cheap plastic rubbish. Looks cool too
