can this wire be used in a 240 volt heat treat oven. it will have 240 volts ran to it

As long as you keep Ohm's law V=IR in mind "maybe", but probably not recommended. You would probably want to go with steel resistance wire. However again you will need to research the resistance you will need in the oven and then see how much wire and what gauge is needed Ohm's Law again.

Can this wire fire to cone 6-10?

I use it for torchwork. It gets to about 1200 degrees in the flame. Don't know what temp cone 6-10 is.

Wil this wire work as a foam cutter with my 30v/10a dc power supply?

I have a similar power supply, and it is more than enough. I use about 4.5V and maybe 4-6a to heat about 16" of wire. Your settings will vary depending on the length of wire you are trying to heat. Start off with lower settings, and gradually raise them so you don't burn the wire in half. You want the wire to be hot enough to melt through your product at a reasonable rate, but not so hot that the wire is red and soft.

I'm looking to use this wire in my model train layout as electrical wires on poles and I need to know if this wire is stiff or pliable?

It is pretty stiff. I use it as a support for melting glass with a torch and it need to be pretty rigid.

Does well at Cone 10

This wire has withstood a high fire glaze run at Cone 10 when I've used it for ceramics. It does discolor some but the portion outside the clay does not melt/break during the firing. I find it suitable for jewelry as a finding or hanging pieces from firing fixtures when you want to glaze all but the hole.
