Replacement for 2014-2019 Corvette C7 Z06 GM Factory Style Carbon Fiber Front Hood Vent Louver Cover VENT-251-BKCF

This thing looks so awesome and beautiful right out of the box. But fitting it to the car was not easy since all 4 of the tabs which are molded into the vent are 1/8" off and there's no way to make them work without modifying the piece the vent attaches to under the hood. This took considerable fitting, trimming, again and again. The end result is ok, but since the holes had to be opened up to allow the carbon fiber tabs to fit, the retainers/clips have nothing to fasten to...so while it looks ok from the outside, it's sort of scabbed into place. Since my vent was broken, I was in a position where I had to make it work, otherwise I would have returned it. The mold they are using is just wrong.

Love it. Some of the clips didn’t want to work. Was able to use the stock ones on it easy.
