Very rare ship model. Great detailing. The three deck model.
This is a very rare model. The Japanese built an “experimental” carrier with three usable aircraft decks. All three decks could launch aircraft but only recover aircraft on the top deck. The results were not impressive so they converted her back to its Pearl Harbor attack configuration. “

Crisp details, well fitting, not for the temid of heart...
This is a highly detailed early version (prior to 1935) of the most famous carrier in the Imperial Japanese Navy. This three deck carrier is very well molded with no "flash" and excellent fitting parts. This model would be for an intermediate modeler. I think a beginner may be overwhelmed by the number of parts. I highly recommend this model to those interested in the early IJN.
