My girls were thrilled to get this and it does everything they wanted. The application to download music worked great on their PC and the videos are awesome. The sound is great and the microphones work fine. So far their is nothing to dislike about this machine. The HDMI works excellent and the graphics are beautiful. This is the download music version. So if you are looking for CD's to play choose another model. Although this does have a line in that could work with an optical drive.

i am not happy with this product.Used it 2-3 times in a year only as the display screen stopped working.the customer support also could not help.waste of money.

This Singing Machine is definitely the life of the party. I can use it in multiple ways, by connecting my cellphone via Bluetooth or downloading videos from YouTube in an MP4 format and loading them onto the flash drive. It also works as a regular speaker. The quality of the sound is clear and the two microphones work just fine. Lastly, the lights are amazing and give my party a whole new atmosphere. I have no complaints about this device. I highly recommend it.

To get the best out of this system, you're going to have to HDMI it to a home theater system. It works in a pinch on its own, but the 100 watt peak sound, and the tiny LCD screen are a bit weak (more for dorm parties than house parties). Hook it up to your home theater system via HDMI; however, and you get the lyrics up on your 60" flat screen and have the sound sent to your home theater surround system (assuming you already have one). I've heard some complaints that the song library is pricey (and it is), but once you realize that this machine is just a glorified MP4 player, you will realize that there are other cheaper (and more extensive) sources of generic MP4 karaoke files that will work with this machine. If you want to improve things, buy some better microphones - of course, once you start down this path, you may realize that the best home karaoke system is a Laptop connected to a PA system with semi-pro microphones and cables. But once you get to that level, you can pretty much start your own door-to-door party services. This thing is just fine for corny weekend parties and kids.

have to buy all music, can not take a CD - somewhat disappointed, as the costs ADD up. Machine itself is great - hooks up to TV and have a nice "light-show".

Pretty lights, but Very Expensive to buy songs for the Karaoke !!! I have bought 4 Karaoke units over the last 25 years; and up until this one, the songs were provided with a Key to look through the songs. This unit is obviously to get you hooked to Only be able to buy each song at $2 Each, and who knows how to keep track of them. My last unit, 15 years ago, had 10,000 Free Karaoke Songs and books of songs and number keys to keep track of them. This is a Scam. I see it is sold at Costco too; and I wish the songs were free or at least cheap and organized to buy and keep track of.. No Such Luck. Wife bought. I would Never Recommend this unit without lots of songs for free and a key for same !!!

Use it for some self contained holiday music. Mixed with YouTube and presenter music.
