I was dreading replacing my old Sony RF headphones, but these are far superior.Unlike my old Sony, this set has an internal battery. It says it lasts something like 35 hours. I have not reached the limit yet as I put them on the recharging dock after each use. Have no idea whether this is good for the battery or not.The sound is of high quality containing good bass and clear clarity.The connectivity is superb, allowing for headphone jack or S/PDIF (or both). Personally I prefer the latter which I feel gives higher quality sound.The headphones have a rocker-type digital volume changer built into the right side which is convenient.In short, very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend - only slight concern is I do not like built-in batteries in general; my old Sony pair were powered by rechargeable AA batteries which I could replace when their capacity diminished. Really hoping I do not experience battery problems in the future. If so I will re-visit this review.PS - If you have a problem when using with a Fire stick like I did, I resolved it by going into TV advanced audio settings and switching digital out to PCM instead of Auto. Have no idea how or why this works, but it did for me. Thank you Reddit!PPS - My original pair broke after 11 months - the right ear arm snapped. I had been expecting something like this based on previous reviews and the 'frequently returned item' warning. Even so I was given a full refund (even though I didn't take out insurance on them) and promptly ordered another set as I love the sound quality. That's how to make loyal customers :)

We have tried a number of other headphones to work with our TV but none have been as clear, easy to use, and effective as these. They charge quickly and this will last a couple of days for us (which is very good!). Connecting them is easy and straightforward. A brilliant piece of kit!

Great joy working perfectly took me over an hour to set up not bad for 89 years old.

My Sennheiser wireless headphones finally bit the dust after 15+ years of faithful service. A quick AI research query produced several options with the Avantree Ensemble being suggested as best from someone with some loss of hearing. AI was spot on. These are compact and fit nicely on the entertainment console. Setup was almost automatic. Plug and play. There are several options for connection and I chose the simple direct wire to avoid any chance of Bluetooth "lag". This can be the traditional "jack" or an optical connection depending on source connections. They are comfortable and the "ear muffs' largely cancel ambient noise. A very nice feature for hearing impaired is a "voice clarity" button which I am guessing increased higher frequencies in increments. However it is done, it works. I haven't had the endurance to exceed battery life, but it's reported as well in excess of 10hrs. Placement in the charger is easy and confirmed by a red charging connection LED. I would definitely buy these again.

I bought these for my Dad who lives in a retirement flat and was worried he had his tv up too loud for the neighbours. Really straight forward to fit. The volume control on the headset is a little small/fiddly for his arthritic fingers so easier for him when he takes them off to do it but fine for most people. He also says they squeeze his ears even with the headset expanded for a larger head but I found them super comfy - I think he finds anything different takes a little time to adjust to so they'll be fine with practice. Can be set up to have others hear the tv and control the volume separately or to have the sound just in the headset. They also link to other devices so ideal for tablets, music etc. I would definitely recommend them for use and ease of set up as well as sound quality.

Surprisingly, the headphones provide an excellent sound quality for me despite the fact that I need to wear hearing aids. The speech and general sound is clear enough without having to wear hearing aids!The only criticism is the docking of the headphones requiring careful attention to sit properly in the cradle.Connectivity is seamless and allows me to have sound through the headphones without having to go to the settings of the Samsung tv as sound is on simultaneously on both tv and headphones. I only need to operate remote to turn sound off whilst adjusting sound level on headphones independently. So far, highly recommended.

I dont normally write reviews, however I felt I should for this product.I purchased these headphones because I had previously bought 2 different makes and they didn't perform as I expected. But these Avantree are perfect for my needs. I am an elderly lady who is extremely hard of hearing. And I have struggled for a long time not being able to hear the TV. After buying several brands that didn't perform and broke after a short time. I plumped for the Avantree although a little bit more expensive they are well worth the money I have used them for a little time now and find the sound quality is great. They are so easy to use the docking station is great. I cannot fault these head phones in every aspect. To me they are perfect for my needs. I highly recommend them.I must add I did have a very small glitch with them after a short time so I contacted Avantree and the service they provided was amazing, they responded so quickly. and they resolved this issue really fast.

I've used this for months now, and I have to say these are the worst headphones I've ever used.The quality of the headphones felt flimsy, and the dock itself felt as though it had a poor layout.For some reason you don't actually need the dock on to connect to any other Bluetooth devices which wasn't straight out explained.One of the biggest annoyances with the dock feature is how you have to put the headphones on. It requires a lot of adjusting and is finnicky to even set up to charge. At which point, it would have been quicker to plug it in were that an option.Next thing is the audio quality, which is actually fine, it's average. But you do hear the random static/buzz sound due to the bluetooth function.Arguably the worst thing about these headphones aside from the random narrator every time you use it, is its connectivity. It, does not, connect, properly. Every single time without fail on my phone, I'd have to manually select these headphones to connect to it. Which gets incredibly frustrating after a while. It's gotten to the point where I had a meltdown and broke these. This is not well designed at all. This is such a huge flaw.Do not recommend. There are headphones that cost much less than this that do more and work.

Just as advertised. No special bells or whistles. Easy to hook up once you figure it out. The clearest sound ever on a set of headphones. You can actually here the dialogue when watching a show or movie. Crisp highs, booming lows. Made for tv but I have listened to some classic rock on them. Don't expect that concert sound but they will rock. The plus is you can hook them up to more than one tv. My living room is hooked up thru blue tooth and my bedroom is hooked up thru optical wire. Vey satisfied for the price, yes I would recommend these. Comfortable to wear but you do need to give your ears a break after a few hours. I would buy them again if the need arises.
