Works well.
Effective Bluetooth transmitter. Easy to use if you read the instructions. My laptop Bluetooth was terrible. I was using it to transmit sound to a stereo 5 feet away and the audio was terrible. Using this transmitter the audio quality slip great and Im even using it to also support a Bluetooth mouse at the same time with no noticeable lag. Very happy with the purchase.

I am happy to report that everything is working perfectly
Note: This is for the DG40S model, as I bought this for use on a Windows 7 PC. My goal was to find a USB Bluetooth adapter that would allow my PS4 DualShock 4 to connect to my PC without the need for DS4Windows software. Also note that the DG40SA being sold here is clearly advertised as not being compatible with Windows 7, so I didn't try that one.I am happy to report that everything is working perfectly! Though, as described here and on Avantree's site, this adapter is NOT exactly plug and play when used with Windows 7 (it apparently is with Windows 10), but it's close enough! Very simple to get working. Just go to their support site, click the DG40S icon, then look for the link labeled "Latest Driver for Windows 7." Before you click it, take note that there are also many useful support links here, in case you run into problems. When ready, click the Windows 7 driver link, and you'll see another new list of more helpful links, many of them with videos outlining the simple step-by-step install process. YOU MUST WATCH A VIDEO OR TWO HERE! It will only take a few minutes, promise. BUT WATCH BEFORE YOU INSTALL! Lol. It's just a series of left/right/double clicks that are required, takes no more than 2 minutes, but since their interface is so artistically done in a 1982 programming style, you'll save time if you just watch a vid first. NOTE: ALL STEPS OUTLINED IN THE VIDEOS REGARDING CONNECTION (key words: ALL TWO OR THREE STEPS) MUST BE DONE WHILE THE DUALSHOCK CONTROLLER IS IN PAIRING MODE! To enable this, hold down the center PS button and the Share button AT THE SAME TIME, for a few seconds, until the DualShock's light starts flashing. This means it's searching for Bluetooth devices to pair with. You might have to re-enter it into pairing mode if the lights stop flashing. Anyway, before you know it, your DualShock 4 will be connected - with great range, too. Has been working flawlessly after hours of gaming! As it turns out, I needed tech support for something I goofed up on (all that was needed was a restart of a couple things that I somehow missed). I called their support number (conveniently displayed on the main screen of their driver software after installation), and was almost immediately set up with the next tier of tech support via a live, screen-sharing conference! They sent me a link via email that directed me to download the Chrome extension called GoToMeeting Pro Screensharing. Pretty slick/legit extension, nice interface. Also had the ability for me to select specific windows for screensharing, or to just enable the sharing of my entire screen. Anyhow, a couple people on the phone walked me through a couple steps I somehow goofed up on (follow the steps above and you'll be fine, lol). They were super helpful and kind. Pretty amazing customer service, some of the best I've experienced from any company, no joke.Anyhow, if you're using this with Steam, make sure you follow online guides how to do it. Also ridiculously simple, just open up Steam, enter Big Picture Mode, click the settings gear button --> controller settings, then make sure the "PS4 Configuration Support" box is checked. You might have to restart Steam, or restart the controller's Bluetooth connection, but yeah still simple in the end, I was just in idiot mode for a few minutes there...Hope this helps!

Great bang for the buck!
The envelope size package included the USB Bluetooth DG40S dongle by Avantree, and its manual.Specs:So let's start with the size: 22mm x 4mm x 12mm, small and compact. After it's plugged in to your computer, you can forget it, your computer will be Bluetooth-enabled once and for all! This dongle's power range is approximately 50m and the data transfer speed is pretty fast, reaching 3 Mbps! When plugging it in, you can notice a little green light to show whether it's in pairing mode or already paired with a device. Not only it is Bluetooth 4.0-compatible, but it also works with Bluetooth 3.0, 2.X and 1.X devices.Actual use:After a little while, you can notice that this Bluetooth dongle is very handy since once it's plugged in, there's nothing to do, no need to touch it, controlling it is all done through the windows software. As for the compatible devices, I've been using this dongle to link my computer to my Bludio headphones, Samsung Galaxy 4, cell phone, Galaxy Note, printer, speakers, headsets, hands-free earphones, and my mp3 player. I can confirm the high speed files transfer, and great audio quality thanks to the A2DP support, I have experienced consistent sound with no cut-off while walking around in my home with my Bluetooth earphones on. (except behind several walls, of course).Things I like:• great range (up to 50m)• backward compatibility with older Bluetooth standards• clear and explicit LED light• very complete manual• works with all types of devices, even health devices like digital thermometers, cardio measuring devices, etc.• great data transfer speed (up to 3 Mbps)I received an email from the seller instructing me where to get and how to install the BlueSoleil software to operate the dongle. I have been operating the dongle with the built in Windows 10 drivers and have had no problems thus far. I will research and install the BlueSoleil software just to see what enhancements it may contain. So far, this tiny little thing solved my Bluetooth issue with Windows 10 enabling me to play music through my stereo from my windows 10 desktop. Paired to a Philips Bluetooth stereo receiver, this completes the package. Great product and so easy to setup. Worked well with my Bludio headphones, Samsung Galaxy 4 cell phone, and my Galaxy note. Plug and play in the truest sense. Great value.Avantree DG40S Bluetooth 4.0 USB Dongle Adapter for PC with Windows XP, 7, 8, 8.1, 10 and Vista system - Plug and Play on Win 7 and above - 2 Year Warranty
