pretty good and helps curb a craving for caviar.
For what it is, what it’s not (real caviar) and what it costs- this is actually pretty good and helps curb a craving for caviar. It’s really “crunchy” almost like Tobiko. Not as salty as some others but the lack of dyes in it- worth the trade off. Honestly don’t think you could say anything bad about this if you’ve had caviar, know you like caviar, and want something as a trade off for the price. It does NOT taste like true caviar but again- curbs a craving.

Not the outcome I expected.
I was excited to get the item and actually enjoyed the taste even though it was a tad bit salty, but I'm pretty sure it gave me food poisoning and I wasn't able to hold anything down for days after eating it including Thanksgiving. I will not buy again. Had to throw the rest away.

Vegetarian approved! I **LOVE** this product!
I was a bit leery to purchase due to all the negative reviews. I’ve never seen a product with such biased reviews on both ends of the spectrum! They’re all over the place. I just received my black Caviart today, and I absolutely LOVE it! A full breakdown:*First impresssion, the size of the container is generous, when comparing to my usual grocery store shelf (real) caviar. I like the premium quality looking packaging of this as well, it’s very appealing.*Opening the container, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the product is NOT liquidy as some reviewers mentioned. Just like real caviar, it’s a solid product. Visual appeal, this looks like the real thing.*Aroma: there is no chemical smell as another reviewer insinuated. It doesn’t smell awkward or bad.*Solidarity: scooped just as I would real caviar, and it holds it shape very nicely. Perfect little “eggs” that are uniform in shape.*Taste: here’s the real test! Perfect little “eggs” that feel pleasant on the palate (very nice smooth texture!), that gently *pop* with a pleasant lightly salted flavor. No weird aftertaste.*Final thoughts: I LOVE this product, even better than the real thing, and I HIGHLY recommend it! This is not a novelty product, it is an amazing substitute to a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle. I’m absolutely amazed at how some of these companies put out such fantastic flavorful plant based products that are so similar, if not better, than the real thing.

Good option for vegans
We used these for a big dinner to replace actual caviar for our vegan guests. There were zero complaints and our guests enjoyed their food. I didn't taste it so I couldn't tell you about flavor. For the money it's much cheaper than real caviar, and everybody seemed to like the flavor, Saltiness, and texture.

Awesome sub to use on vegan sushi!!!
I used to love caviar before I went vegan, so when I saw a plant based "caviart" I had to try it, and I must say it is pretty good! It's definitely not trying to be what it's not, which this is NOT something mimicking Salmon caviar or anything of sorts, however if you have ever tried Flying fish caviar, it is 95% identical. It doesn't have a fishy taste, but definitely has a bit of that "sea" flavor. It's a touch under-salted, so just add some soy sauce to it and it's great. It is a wonderful addition to a vegan sushi roll, in both look and flavor. It looks and tastes amazing on crackers with vegan mayo! Will definitely be buying more, already made it through both of the little containers I got. Oh and the containers are small, but it fits way more in there than it appears on first sight.

No flavor.
If you are looking for something that pops in your mouth, boba would be a better alternative. There is no flavor to these and the smell is a little off putting. I wouldn’t say it’s a chemical smell but it definitely is not a smell that should come from food. The pop is good, but I ended up throwing mine in the trash after a few bites. It was a waste.

Sorry but absolutely disgusting
I really like roe I haven't tried caviar but it wouldn't matter this tastes like chemical it was impossible to do a caviar bump. Also I used to be vegan so I can definitely handle a lot of flavors and I'm not a picky eater. This idea was cool but nothing briney or salty about it just tastes and smells like the slime you buy for kids to play with. Sorry to the company as it's probably ok for some people but I would not recommend or buy.

Mild and pleasant salty taste, workable alternative
I grew up eating caviar (in Russia it was much more common and something we often had for holiday breakfast), so I’m very familiar with what it’s supposed to taste like.Does this taste like sturgeon caviar? Of course not. But neither does the fish-derived black caviar from other fish that I generally see being served as “caviar” in the U.S. Real black caviar (ie, sturgeon caviar) is hard to imitate, with a very rich, buttery taste and a silky-smooth, luxurious texture. It pops on the tongue with a pleasant viscosity. Other, cheaper caviars are grainy and fishy tasting. This was actually better than some non vegan alternatives, although the texture is still not right. Or rather, the texture matches other fish caviar, but not sturgeon. To have it come closer to the real thing, I’d recommend eating it with a generous spread of salted vegan butter. (Without the vegan butter, it’s just ok.)Update: I have now tried Tzar vegan caviar. That one is more expensive but also much better on taste and texture.https://www.amazon.com/Tzar-Caviar-Vegan-Gourmet-Seaweed/dp/B0719M5P4G/ref=sr_1_fkmrnull_1?keywords=tzar+vegan+caviar&qid=1555514028&s=gateway&sr=8-1-fkmrnull
