As soon as I handed over the Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition to my teenage son, I knew I was in for a wild ride – and I don't just mean the action-packed web-slinging!First of all, let's talk graphics. My son's jaw dropped faster than a New York minute when he fired up this game on the PlayStation 5. I swear I saw his eyes turn into little heart emojis when he swung through the city for the first time. It's like the game's creators broke into a rainbow factory and sprinkled the entire thing with high-def magic.Now, the storyline. It's like a superhero roller coaster that leaves you screaming "WOOHOO" at every twist and turn. Miles Morales is not just another Spider-Man – he's got style, he's got humor, and he's got a knack for getting into some hilariously sticky situations. My son was laughing so hard at some points, I thought he might actually shoot webs out of his nose.And can we talk about the gameplay mechanics? My son went from button-mashing newbie to an acrobatic, web-slinging ninja faster than I can say "with great power comes great responsibility." He'd yell things like "Mom, watch this crazy flip!" or "Did you see that takedown? I'm basically a superhero!" Honestly, if there was an Olympic sport for video game acrobatics, my son would be the gold medalist.But let's not forget the real star of the show – the soundtrack. I caught my son shamelessly dancing in the living room to the in-game beats. Who knew Spider-Man could inspire such groovy moves?And the Ultimate Edition? Well, it's like they dipped the game in a pot of awesomeness. The additional content had my son swinging around with a grin so big, it could rival the Green Goblin's grin.In conclusion, if you're looking to keep your teenage son entertained, give him the Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition. It's got more action than a Marvel movie marathon, funnier moments than a stand-up comedy show, and enough heart to make even a super-villain shed a tear. Just be prepared for some impromptu web-slinging demonstrations in your living room – those lampshades might not survive!Stay amazing, fellow parents. And remember, with great gaming comes great bonding time!

It can be hard to sum up a "smaller" game. We come to expect a certain quantity of content from certain price points and Miles comes in at a supposed full asking price for a much shorter experience than 2018's Marvel's Spider-Man.I would argue however that the quality and focus of this title are worth that price. This experience is better than the original in almost every way, some aspects like the Web swinging were near perfect anyhow, but minor tweaks have pushed them further into that amazing space. Combat is more fluid, UI is sharper and more aesthetic, bloat is pulled right back, and what you end up with is a super focused, fully realised, superbly executed game.Add in pacing that ramps up more akin to how it would in a real scenario such as this and acting / direction that actually understands the character of Miles and you are met with a game that vys with Ghost of Tsushima and The Last of us Part 2 for my choice of the game of 2020.

I wasn’t sure anything could top the original Spider-Man PS4 game, but Miles Morales swings into action with confidence and flair. The Ultimate Edition is ideal if you missed the first game—it includes the full remastered original Spider-Man, making this a true double-feature of superhero brilliance.The visuals are stunning. From the snowy streets of Harlem to the reflections in glass skyscrapers, the ray tracing and HDR work beautifully on PS5. Miles’ animations are so fluid, and the web-swinging feels even smoother than before. Add in the haptic feedback and adaptive triggers on the DualSense and you feel every thwip, thud, and venom blast in your hands—an immersive treat.Gameplay is tight, snappy, and fun. Miles has his own fighting style and powers that make him feel distinct from Peter. His venom powers add a whole new layer of combat. The 3D audio is the icing on the cake—New York feels alive, especially through headphones.The only downside? It’s a bit short if you just stick to the main story. I really enjoyed playing Miles Morales, seeing some of his story and using his unique powers, the game really makes good use of the PS5 controller throughout the game, while Miles Morales playtime isn't as long as Spider-Man (2018) it is just as enjoyable and leaves you hoping Miles gets another solo game in future, the graphics are amazing, I was really happy to make this my first platinum trophy on PS5 and hope there's another Miles Morales game soon.Spider-man remastered: takes little time to get used to Peters face transplant huh, but I did enjoy playing Spider-man once more, I did get a couple of game glitches though where peters body disappeared but just had to load last save checkpoint and its all good. I didn't do the DLC on the original but I'm liking it.If you're a fan of superheroes games these 2 games are worth buying, they're really enjoyable and brilliantly made, Thank you to everyone who helped create these games.
