Like others have said, this is a nice string....but what I liked is that all you do is keep the package shrink wrapped, poke a hole in the top and you can pull out (I need scissors to grab the end) the end string and it will pull neatly out of the center. Shrink wrap keeps the whole ball neatly wrapped and clean, in case you bumble and drop it on the floor. Well worth the bit extra $$. and MADE IN USA

This is high-quality string. It is a good thickness, is strong, doesn't stretch, cuts well, ties well, has no odors, is affordable, durable, is suitable for many uses including tying roasts, trussing chicken, tying herbs, tying plants/tomatoes, sending packages, arts and crafts.

Easy to handle, reasonably strong and suitable for everything from trussing a chicken to bundling the newspapers for recycling. Take care when you first open the roll and it'll dispense tangle free till the last few feet of the roll.

After a couple days using this stuff to tie roasts, etc., I'm pretty happy with it. Holds up well when you need to cinch a knot down tight, cuts clean with a knife, doesn't fray; a good, sturdy twine that works well for butchering. A lot of "butcher's twine" seems to be made for wrapping Christmas presents, not actually working with.

This is my second purchase. I use it mostly as cooking twine, either to tie spice bags closed or to truss chicken and tie roasts for cooking. We also use it in the summer to tie back milkweed that overhangs the driveway.

Good size and strong to tie the chicken to bake

This is a perfect, strong, soft cotton string. We used it at my wedding to hang a bunch of things and also to tie up sponge bombs for a water fight (it was a beach wedding.) We took comfort knowing that it was pretty much biodegradable out there on the beach if any got left behind, but I will buy this again anytime I need some sort of hefty string because it worked really great for everything we used it for.

I must admit that when I ordered this string I paid little attention to where it was actually coming from. I did think it was taking rather a long time to arrive and was thinking of contacting amazon . The very next day a parcel arrived from Europe with a European customs stamp.The price however was in US$.and oon checking I discovered that it was originally posted in the US and in fact, made there in New Rochelle NY10881. Dont we make string anymre?
