The indgredients list is: Water, soybeans, rice, salt, ethyl alcohol. Soy bean paste is basically fermented, ground soybeans, preserved with salt. The rice is probably rice flour, to give the miso a paste consistency.

the ingredients, rice, soy, salt and ethyl alcohol indicate it's gluten free as soybeans and rice are generally gluten free, HOWEVER the machinery used to grind the rice into flour may have been used to grind wheat into flour before hand, but generally soy and rice are gluten free items

Is this miso aged 6 plus months?

I looked the package over carefully and can find no information about the age of the product. Also, I have not used white miso paste before, so perhaps this is normal, but this paste is more reddish-brown than white. I hope that helps you.
