Great powerful blower.
Great! Powerful! Uses lots of battery power so needs frequent battery recharge with continuous use but it's super powerful and lightweight.

Another great Kobalt tool
My first Kobalt tool was a hand screwdriver with 4 interchangeable heads that Lowe's was giving away several years ago. Seemed like good quality and I still have it. Next was a set of screwdrivers. Then I splurged and bought a 24 volt drill because the batteries on my DeWalt were so high priced. It is great for home use, and I use it a good bit. Then a 24 volt Saws-All. My Snapper lawn mower was 12 years old and having some issues so I bought a Kobalt 80 volt, with a 6ah battery and charger, 21" self propelled mower. While it can do the whole yard, I use it to outline everything and then get on my Husqvarna tractor. Next was an 80 volt extendable pole hedge clipper but with a 4ah battery as it is smaller and not as heavy as the 6ah. Then I wanted to detail my truck and convertible and bought the 24 volt Kobalt random orbital polisher and it made polishing and waxing them so much easier. Trimming limbs become a little difficult (I'm 72) with my 18" gas chainsaw so I bought the Kobalt 8" chainsaw that I can use with one hand. Then it was a 24volt hand clipper for deadheading plants. It works like electric scissors. My gas handheld leaf blower, delivering 354 cfm at 191 mph, became so hard to start that I bought this Kobalt 80 volt blower. While this blower is only 140 mph, it's moving 630 cfm and works great. It was delivered today and it was raining. When it stopped, I went out and blew off the deck, the walkway and the whole driveway. Leaves were stuck to the concrete and this thing blew them all away. Now, I did use the "extra boost button" some but if things were dry, I doubt if I would have had to. Lowe's had this blower, but only with battery and charger for $270, which I did not need. Amazon had it without battery and charger for $125. Oh, one thing, the instructions are for a model that has a trigger on it. This one has a lever on both sides (left and right handed) that you press down and it stays in place (like a cruise control) then there is the "extra boost button". Now to be honest, most of my Kobalt tools have come from Lowe's as I have a 10% military discount card, but this blower , and some of the other tools, came from Amazon. If you haven't noticed, I like Kobalt tools. They are functionable and are of good quality. My next Kobalt tool will be a 20" chainsaw. Who knows after that. One more thing ... my wife will use this blower as it is not nearly as heavy as my former gas blower. Edit: My review was after using this blower one time. This unit does have a trigger that when squeezed, the blower comes on. The more you squeeze it, the faster it blows. The levers on the left and right sides also make the blower come on. The further down you push it, the faster it blows. And it stays in place like a "cruise control". Some have complained that it uses a lot of battery. I use a 4ah, as it is lighter than the 8ah but lasts longer than the 2aH. I do a porch and a 50 foot walkway, a triple garage, a 150 foot driveway and a deck 20 feet by 40 feet without a problem, even using the "extra boost" some. When I finish I put the battery in the charger. Still pleased with it.

SO HAPPY KOBALT STILL MANUFACTURED THE 80V BATTERY BLOWER AND AMAZON WAS A DISTRIBUTOR
My original manufactured Kobalt 80V Battery powered Blower was purchased in 2028, 8 years ago. The older blower started arcing a few weeks ago when switching between the 3 speed selector switches just after the battery was charged, but the blower still worked fine, but did not last more than 10-15 minutes on a single charge. I purchased the 80V Kobalt Chain Saw at Lowes at the same time since there was a discount pricing buying them together. Each one came with its own charging station and 80V Batteries. Last year, one charging unit and a battery was destroyed during an thunderstorm after the Power Company Transformer was hit by lightning. I purchased this 80V Kobalt blower, and previously two 80V Kobalt Charging Stations and two 80V Kobalt Batteries on Amazon because the prices were less than at Lowes with free shipping. As a retired Power Electronics Engineer with over a little over 47 years of design and system testing experience for a process control company and then for the US Government and my previous purchases of the above, I can assure you the 80V Kobalt Batteries will last longer than other 80V batteries for similar applications. Besides, there is always a possible form-fit-function concern using a different manufacturer's battery. The Mean Time Before Failure (MTBF) for better quality similar products is eight (8) Years, and the older 80V Kobalt: blower, charging unit, and batteries surpassed that range. No Electrical or Electronics Product can survive a direct power line lightning strike based on my expertise performing destructive power line and Electrostatic Discharge testing at the process control company and the US Government. I also recommend having one standby 80V Kobalt Battery so big blower jobs can be completed the same day and timeframe. The new 80V 2.5 AHr batteries took me 45 minutes to fully charge after three uses so far.

Great leaf blower until the trigger fails
I really like this leaf blower, because it uses the same battery as some of my other tools. It also is strong and the power is variable. However, the trigger is it's weak link. I have had to replace the blower twice because the trigger has failed and I have not found an available replacement.

Beast of a blower!
I have a kobalt backpack & this thing blows it away! Much smaller and more powerful! 80V batteries are interchangeable!

Really powerful light weight blower
This is very powerful for a battery operated blower. I had my old one for over 10 years and since I live in the mountains with LOTS of trees, it always got a workout. I was glad that I could replace just the blower since the charger and 2 batteries I have still work great.
