Sturdy, shiny and just as expected. Would buy again.

Basic , but exactly what we needed. Our old towel rail had ceramic ends and cracked so needed a replacement that was 55cm to be able to use the same drill holes rather than allow old drill holes to show. I could not find one, except for a telescopic version which had one bar sliding into another (not what I wanted. I used the small alan key to remove one end then used a hacksaw to slightly shorten the bar which gave me a custom fitted replacement.... Perfect. I am surprised that the advert does not explain that with a small amount of simple DIY you can shorten the pole as required. This was then fitted in 5 mins. Done and looks great.

Product is pretty good once installed and am very pleased with it. It comes with all the fittings you need to install it, which is very handy. Ease of install I would rate at 4 stars as the fitting instructions need to be studied a bit to work out measurements: Having worked as a tradesman in the past I didn't find this too difficult but my impression was that the fitting instructions could be made clearer — so deduct a star for this. There was a real problem at the time of ordering: The images provided by Amazon for the product say that you need a 6mm diameter masonry drill to suit the rawlplugs that are supplied as part of the the fittings kit. On that basis, at the time of ordering the towel rail, I also ordered a 6mm masonry drill. I got the towel rail and, lo and behold, when I read the instructions provided with the rail they said that you need a 5mm masonry drill — damn! Needless to say I then had to purchase a 5mm drill bit — so I deduct another star over this costly confusion. With all the above in mind I have given the product an overall score of 3 stars. Had it not been for the issues I would have rated the rail at an overall 5 stars. I am very pleased with the rail and the supplied kit; rawlplugs, screws and Allen-key, provided a secure fitting to the wall.

This is an excellent product. It's made of substantial brass with quality chrome plating. I've had it for almost a year now and there are no blemishes or marks on it. The wall fixings have stayed solid and it continues to feel well made and new looking.

As others mentioned, the size doesn't match. I end up cutting it, to use in a kitchen, for smaller towels.
