Fun and Educational
This is a great set. I purchased it for my 7 year old nephew and it has been a great tool to teach him about following directions. Learning why it’s important to follow them closely if you want something to work correctly. Then he enjoyed figuring out how the complete piece works. I do wish there was an option to just buy a set of the bricks separately but that has nothing to do with this sets quality, fun, or educational benefits,

STEM-tastic Fun That Actually Clicks (Literally)
I got the Klutz LEGO Gear Bots Kit for my boyfriend’s 11-year-old who’s super into STEM, and it was an instant hit. He dove right in, totally focused, and actually explained how the gears worked to me like a mini engineer. The kit is the perfect mix of learning and fun, building cool bots while understanding real mechanics. It’s hands-on, screen-free, and feels like playtime disguised as education (or maybe the other way around). The instructions are clear, and the projects are just challenging enough to keep kids engaged without feeling frustrated. If you’ve got a curious kid who loves building and figuring out how things work, this is a slam dunk. Bonus: it’s LEGO, so it automatically earns you “cool adult” status.

it's ok
The idea ia cool and legos are good but paper pieces are hard to dea with. paper rips easy and things are just not holding up as perfect as it should. Definitely need to be a very patient person

You’ll need scotch tape
The instructions are confusing. There’s ZERO chance an eight year old could figure them out. And it couldn’t have been completed without adding scotch tape. The tabs don’t stay in the slots at all. When completed, the guy who bangs himself on the head doesn’t actually bang himself on the head, his arms just jiggle a little. While it was fun making it, the end result was disappointing.
