I had been struggling for a while to get a proper adapter for my Wii. I had been upgrading my entertainment setup and I realized that most newer TVs don't have component cable ports anymore so finding an HDMI solution was on the docket. I was worried about buying one of these because on reading reviews it seems that these dongles no matter who makes them, have issues. To my shock I plugged it in and proceeded to have no issues at all. No wavy lines, no blanking out. The only thing I had to do was go into settings, go to screen, set it to 480p, then to wide screen, and that was it. I torture tested it for a few days. Yes, I left it on and while it does get warm, It's not frying a hole in my hand and it certainly hasn't died yet. The only thing to take note here is I had some weird things happen with it. It's noted that these don't work with HDMI splitters. Mine does. I don't know why. It just does. It's also worth noting that during active resolution switching that the screen WILL blank out for a second. If you are swapping out from 430i to 480p it can and WILL blank out for a second. This is normal. I've had zero issues so far and I feel that it will last me until I can get a proper upscaler for my setup. 10/10

This adapter was easy to install and it works great. The sound is supplied through the HDMI connection. I first tried to get an adapter to go from component video to HDMI, but that didn't work very well. This was about the same cost and works so much better. I have a 4k 55 inch TV and it looks better than I thought it would. The TV does have upscaling so I'm sure that plays into how well it looks, but if the TV doesn't get a good image, upscaling will not do you any good. This is plug and play and done. I wish I would have purchased this sooner.

Great product great price

This was the perfect solution to allow my early version Wii to work with my new 4K TCL Roku TV without the VGA jacks. Granted, I'm not a big gamer and don't expect powerful graphics - but for my Wii Sports, Resort, bar games, racing games, Boom Blox, and puzzle games - it does the trick. My sensor bar seems to be very intuitive with the TV screen, too. For my basic needs, I don't notice any latency or bit issues. It's what I expected it to be. Thanks.

I got this to just help modernize the connection from the Wii, and it works pretty flawlessly, super simple to use, just plug and play and it works. Picture looks as good as it can on a modern display, would easily recommend to anyone who wants to play older games on the Wii and maybe can't use the original connections for video output.

Works great with LG C2 OLED. Picture is sharper compared to old component cables, which my TV does not include.

El adaptador en si es tan sencillo de instalar, solo como observacion, sugiero que no quede tan encerrado o pegado al mueble, ya que si se calienta un poco el adaptador. Comparando con la imagen que presenta el cable composite del wii con este adaptador: Cable composite del wii La texturas se ven algo difuminadas, los colores no tienen un contraste muy claro, y en ciertos casos en los movimientos de los juegos, lo difuminado causa que no se vea fluida las animaciones. Adaptador wii hdmi Este logra hacer notar las texturas originales del juego, incluso haciendo que se vean a detalle los pixeles/poligonos del juego, ademas que mejora el constraste pero lo mas importante, es que si cambias la resolucion a 480p, se ve una mejora en la fluidez de la imagen. En resumen, si buscas cambiarte de cable composite a hdmi y eres observador en las texturas de tu pantalla, te lo recomiendo. Solo agrego como nota que la compatibilidad de FullHD del adaptador, se refiere a que abarcara toda la pantalla del televisor, y no solo una porcion de ella, ya que el wii trabaja en resolucion 480.

This is awesome. It works easily to connect old Wii consoles to smart TVs with an HDMI cable. This adapter plugs right into the Wii console. The other end plugs into an HDMI cable, which then plugs into newer TVs. I tried an adapter that goes from the original Wii red white yellow ends into an HDMI, but it never worked, ie, no signal. This adapter worked first time. It totally eliminates the red white yellow cord. Now I can use my Wii again!

I have old Wii console (2011 model) and recently upgraded Television to Google TV (SONY 55"). But when I connected Wii games console to TV using Analog Video In socket, it was showing blank screen. Then fortunately I saw this product in Amazon and went for it with doubt. The delivery took some time, but delivered on committed date. It was childs play then. Connected Wii2HDMI connected to console and HDMI cable to TV and voila the picture came clear & sharp. No issues whatsoever. Just go for it, if you have similar situation.
