Exactly what we needed
Nice set with all the options my son was in college for welding and what the school was supplying was apparently sub-par this kit was everything he needed. He was happy with it.

RiverWeld products just work.
Second set of jumbo cups I have purchased from river weld. This time for my number 9 torch. They look a bit funny as they are jumbo, unless I need to get in somewhere tight I will have a #10 jumbo on my torches. They work great and I have no complaints. Takes the heat well and holds the tungsten in without issue.

I am a beginner TIG welder at Los Angeles Trade Technical College about to complete my A.S. in Welding. For the past few months, I have been welding with a traditional ceramic cup that comes with most machines and it has worked out fine. I bought this kit because I plan on specializing on TIG and I'm anticipating exotic metals. In class, I tested this kit on a Lincoln Precision TIG 275 with a wp20 water-cooled torch. I was welding 3/32" aluminum and using a green tipped tungsten. With traditional cups, I always noticed a red-ish color around the tungsten while the electricity is ionizing the argon gas. The red was from uneven flow which would usually go away once more amperage is applied. So it takes a little more amperage to get to the "sweet spot".With the gas lens, I never saw that red-ish color. The gas flow was perfectly even around the tungsten even at low amps. It also helped a little bit with arc stability and shielded the weld pool nicely.I played with stickout. Depending on angle, I got a half and inch stick out on a t-joint and was surprisingly able to get adequate gas coverage. With a closer or regular stickout, the arc is very stable and does not wander as much. This product is awesome. It will not make you a better welder. But if you plan on doing a lot of TIG welding just buy this right now.But it will give you the ability to weld more types of metals (the big cups I think are for titanium, stainless, chrome-moly, etc...), the ability to weld in tight places a little easier, and it will generally make your welds more consistent because the gas flow is consistent.

Collet body may be too long
All the cups and gas lenses fit my miller w-280 water cooled torch. However the long collet body is a bit long for the back cap to screw on. I was able to fix the issue by shaving down the collet body properly. That fixed the issue. So be aware that the collet body may be a hair longer for your torch but can be fixed.

Great Value for the money
These fit my Lincoln square wave 175 tig perfectly and all the pieces I am able to use with my torch. Overall quality seems to be on par with what I can get from local weld shops. I will buy it again.

Warped
I like the cups that I got and they go great on a mini rig and and big boy rig. However two of the cups that I recieved are warped. I don’t want to return the whole kit because of two cups but it’s disappointing.
