I know its not a well known brand like Nightforce, Leupold
I bought this scope for a 308 build that I was working on. I spend about a week reading reviews from others that have made the purchased and have used them on the range. I know its not a well known brand like Nightforce, Leupold, ect.. or even in the same price category like my other rifle scopes, but pulled the trigger anyway. On to the scope: first impression after taking it out of the box is that its a bit heavier, looks and seem build sturdy, glass looks clear, and the knobs has the audible clicks. I did not use the scope rings that came with the scope due to the fact that it was a high profile. I used a low profile instead and work out great with a little bit of blue Loctite on the screws. Took it out to the range to get the rifle zeroed in at 100 yards. First shot was on paper, but really low. Adjust the scope and I was on the target. Put down about 20 round of different load that I loaded the night prior from 150 grain to 168 HPBT match bullets and it hold zero. At the same time, tried out the different yards all the way to 350 yard and the scope track really well. Glass is great and clear, had a guy next to me with a Vortex PST FFP with the same magnification and both glass was identical. He was impressed with it than I was when I told him how much I payed for it. Second range day and its been holding zero really well. Put another 50 round of different load through the rifle on different yardage and scope still tracking wonderful. The longest shot on the second range outing is 500 yards with the power at 24x and I could not be happier with this purchase. Even my wife was shooting sub MOA with 168HPBT match ammo at 500yards on a bench with just the bipod. I'm very happy with purchasing this scope so far and yes only time can tell if it will really holds up, but for now its been great. The only reason that I only give it a four star instead of five is because I have only took it out the range twice and maybe I got lucky to received a good batch. I will update my review after a few more range session, but for now its a great price for a FFP scope.

Update: Been to the range :-(
I decided to buy the Monstrum Tactical 6-24x50. There was just 1 Youtube vid on it in action, so I was concerned even upon ordering it. Now, I didn't just look on the internet, I also went to large chain stores and pawn shops to look at the most popular big name brands, holding them and check for glass clarity and also craftsmanship. Though I saw some very nice scopes with great glass and great features I just didn't feel a connection or it just didn't speak to me and it wasn't just the price! In long range shooting are 2 things that you have to have: Be comfortable and be confident in your equipment!! It came in on Friday around noon. I unboxed it and to my surprise this scope is very well constructed! It also has very nice clear glass, the reticle is straight, the turrets are locking, clicks are loud but with a little play. The finish looks great and had no scratches anywhere. It has Green as well as Red illumination with multi brightness setting. Based upon my research the weight of the scope is just right for long range shooting. The FFP and side parallax works smooth and stiff so that adjustment stayed where you put it. However, at 24 power it is a little hazy at the edges! As far a I can tell this scope is well built upon visual inspection. I haven't taken it to the range but will be shorty to see if it holds zero and holds up under recoil. If it performs as good as it looks it well get another star. Remembering I haven't proved it at the range yet. But as it is now the scope looks very promising!Ok! I have taken the Monstrum tactical to the range. It has surprised and surpassed my expectations! However, do not use cheap ammo to dial in zero. It can be some what aggravating. Using my hand loads, I was able to get the scopes zero set and it is holding nicely! Plus I'm shooting sub MOA groups at 300 yrds!. The eye relief is long. I'm very happy and pleased with Monstrum's products so far! Sincerely, Mark SUpdate, 200 rounds later at ranges of 100, 200, and 300 yrds with 3 shot groups of dime size MOA the scope is still holding zero. I have found a place to shoot a 1000 yrd shot. I'm hopeful in holding a 5" to 7" group at that range. Maybe better! I'll re-edit the review after the shoot. 1000 yrds for less than a $1000. Can it be done?Update 1st pic is at 100 yrds and 2nd pic is at 1000 yrds!!!Update, went to the 1000 yrd range today and shot a 3 shot group in 2.023" M O A overall. Very happy!!!! sniper grade group! Also tore up this 8" x 15" plate steel at 1000 yrds as well!!!However, it was short lived when after only 60 to 70 rounds today and a grand total of 450 rounds since the purchase of the scope, it broke! The focus lens pop out of place and now nothing will focus. Just blurry everything. From what I can tell the reticle is still in place and straight. But very blurry from 6-24 power. I hate this because I really believe this was going to be a great scope. The pictures show that it could be if the internals would hold up to the recoil.PS I am using a muzzle brake on my rifle that has reduced the recoil by almost half!Amazing, that I first posted this review on June 12 2016 and today is June 16 2017! Almost a year to date.A VERY SAD Mark SMonstrum is sending me a new scope YEAHHHHH!!!!

Glass is nice and clear
Put it on my 243 precision. Aquired zero in four shots. Scope tracked real well. Glass is nice and clear. The only reason I'm giving it four stars is it looses focus after about three to four shots. You have to refocus ( not by much ) Not a real big problem if you're bench shooting because more than likely you'll be playing with your focus anyway. Four shots sub quarter inch 100 yards, four shots .263 two hundred. Took it out to 1000 yards with no problem. ( no wind either ) Glass is pretty clear, I could see my hits. All in all I put 53 rounds down range and hit everything I was aiming at. I make 12 minor focus ajustments

Great product.Works perfect!!!
I bought this scope never having heard of Monstrum before. I am glad I did it worked flawlessly. I am very happy with this scope. I will probably buy another one for my AR Elite. The eye relief is a little longer than I expected but once I got a extended rail it's perfect.Great product highly recommend it!!
