The Qur'an - English Meanings Paperback – 11 Sept. 2020

Having purchased several copies of this translation of the Qur'an and having had other English translations in the past, I can say this translation is one of the most concise, precise and fluent.Although the original Arabic of the Qur'an can never be imitated this translation does well to try and capture some of the original rhyme.There are footnotes to further explain and clarify the text where necessary but are written at the bottom of the page so do not interrupt the flow of the text. The English used is not archaic unlike some other translations. The size of the text while not big is definitely more than readable and the thickness of the pages is a nice mid weight. The text is formatted nicely and clearly, the book has a lovely front cover although a shame it is not hardback.The only downsides of this edition is there is no corresponding Arabic text and it is paperback.Overall I cannot recommend this translation enough to anyone who does not speak Arabic and wishes to gain some understanding of the Qur'an. If you only buy one translation of the Qur'an this is the one to go for.

This was intended as a gift but arrived with the pages barely attached to the spine. Multiple pages just fell out of the translation of the Qur’an. The front and back covers are printed with poor quality. The actual text itself was clear but very disappointed that a translation of the best book was treated in such a poor manner.
