Great weed control
Black walnut hulls as well as black walnut leaves contain a compound called juglone which is toxic to many plants and animals. The tree uses this as a defense to kill or stunt nearby plants, seeds, and other organisms and increase it's own chances of survival. With that in mind I make a tea out of the crushed hulls to keep weeds down and prevent new growth of unwanted foliage.

Worked Great
I make a homemade medicinal tincture that's similar to iodine to put on skin cuts and scrapes. These arrived in good condition and had been perfectly dried. I would buy this again if needed.

lively ink
I make ink for calligraphers. 24 hours in the slow cooker produced a beautiful dark brown ink. Buying the hulls dried and ready to use means I don't have to wait until fall/winter to find them on the ground.
