Perfect Replacement, but your step may go out when you close the door
“What?!?”, you’re probably thinking. I had to really think about why this happened and tried several things but nothing worked. Until I remembered that there are two magnets within the motor housing and it is CRITICAL to put the housing back on the same way you took it off. Otherwise you’ll think your step has a mind of its own. Save yourself a ton of grief and mark the housing before you remove it. Do Not change the wiring as some have suggested on the internet. Happy and safe stepping!!!!

2006 Winnebago Journey 34H Motorhome. just purchased this MH, never had an RV with power steps before and was not in the habit of waiting for the step to fully deploy before exiting the MH. Only took a few times stepping onto the step before it was fully deployed to strip these gears...very loud fast clicking noise, I thought it was a compressor at first.I tried taking the gear out and rotating it 180°, that did not work for me.Ordered these gears, they were a direct replacement. Easy peasy replacement job. Check on of the many YouTube videos if you have any doubts or this is your first time.It's been a few months now, step still works fine and I have trained myself to wait for the step to deploy.I'd buy these same gears again knowing what I now do.

Didn't last
This one is a replacement. The first one only lasted about 20 cycles before teeth sheared off. I'm modifying the step linkage to remove some load from gearbox. Hopefully this one will last longer!
