Hello, I am wondering as to the overal quality of the blade. Is the blade lined-up on-point from tip to crusher? and how is the steel/leather quality

Mine was in fine alignment, and I am VERY particular about that sort of thing. I actually ordered one of the more recent V-42 replica offering from CASE (the company which made the original V-42's under contract) , and I wound up sending it back for just that issue. The blade's tip to pommel simply DIDN'T line up, and at almost 5 times the price of this replica. Very disappointing. The Boker which I received is a good value. The blade is straight, of good hardness, and comes fairly sharp, but can be more finely honed if desired. The pommel and the (very sharp) tip line up perfectly. The leather on mine is of good quality, for both the knife and sheath. The only difference that I would wish, would be for the blade to have a fine polished, BLUED finish, like the original (and as found on the Fairbairn-Sykes), instead of the parkerized, mat finish which it has. That said, mine anyway, was a very nice buy, and I'm very happy with it. I keep it in my safe, and I have cheaper, Chinese copy V-42 which I keep in my desk and use as a very scary letter opener. Nobody bothers me in my office when I'm opening my mail...at least not twice.

Every knife ad leaves out probably the most important dimension. What is the thickness??

Sorry. I am not where the knife is. It is not on the thick side. I do not believe it ever gets as thick as the top thick side of my Spyderco police model. Hope this helps!

What is the width of the blade at its widest?

I must apologize but all my reference knives are locked up for the moment in my safes as we move them. But off top of my head, it is approximately 1".
