NOW Sports, Pea Protein 24 g, Easily Digested, Creamy Chocolate, 2 lbs

It's my favorite mix and decided to write the review because of some other reviews I have seen. The tase us fine. Somewhat like cake batter, which may be too sweet for some. Personally I hate sweet mixes and this is definitely not too much for me. Also, it mixes with water. You can mix it with almond milk, etc. For a creamier drink, but either way it's fine. Not all tastebuds are the same, but I would think most people would be okay with the chocolate. I see the price has gone up considerably, so I am disappointed by that.

I like this product. I like the taste. And most importantly for me — this product works well for my body. I’ve tried other protein powders before, not pea-based, and they caused increased acidity in my stomach. My body reacted strangely to them. But this powder works well for me. I like it. And I prefer the chocolate flavor. And by the way, just for your information: every person needs to consume a certain amount of protein each day. This depends on their body weight. And it’s not just for athletes — it applies to absolutely everyone. People have a daily requirement for vitamins, and also for protein.

I am not a fitness person but I do work out and do try to watch what I eat. I know protein is the best way to start your day and to keep you full longer. I have tried the vegan "life changing" (stupid) Shakeology and was disappointed. It tasted just like any other protein powder, I didn't lose weight, I didn't feel less bloated. Shakeology is a SCAM. That being said I went on the hunt for vegan protein shakes. *Note I am not vegan but I can't eat dairy and I have horrible side effects with soy protein. I tried several different brands of vegan protein powder....5 different kinds. FINALLY I found NOW Foods! THE BEST PROTEIN POWDER EVER! It's super thick, great taste, and mixes well with anything. I tried the vanilla toffee flavor for several months so I wanted to change it up. I am not a big fan of chocolate hence the 4 out of 5 stars, but with the PB2 powdered peanut butter and almond milk it's like a candy bar in a glass! Notes for those who have never bought it *vegan (means NO dairy) **Pea protein instead 25g! *NO soy *NON GMO (genetically modified organisms) *<1 g sugar (Stevia is used) *140 Calories *540mg sodium *6g carbs *2g fiber *xylitol 2g (stevia sugar) Can't beat the flavor, nutrition, and price!

This is the fourth time buying this product I use it for my pre-workout. I generally add some oats banana throw it in the blender couldn't be happier with it.

As I follow a vegan diet I've used the plain version of this product for a while to supplement my protein intake, usually just mixing it in water. It's chalky and doesn't mix very well, and the taste left much to be desired. The Dutch Chocolate version is so, SO much better. I couldn't believe how much I enjoyed it. Granted, it has a couple grams of sugar whereas the plain has none, but it is well, well worth it. I don't have to psych myself up to drink it anymore.

My review is strictly based on the taste and texture of the product. I tried this product as a cheaper alternative to a similar product I use and enjoy. I started with the unflavored Now Pea Protein to save a few bucks and it was gross. I saw the reviews for Dutch Chocolate flavor so I thought I would give it a try. It also tastes bad and is very chalky. I tried both flavors by themselves and they were really bad. I mixed them with peanut butter, bananas, honey, and ice and it still tasted bad. It is very gritty and chalky. It's hard to keep down. I never could finish more then 2-3 sips of every variation I tried. I am not sure what other types of tastes the other reviewers are used to but I can't drink this stuff. Even if I was able to find a sweetener that would make this product taste like bacon I would not be able to drink it because of the texture. It makes me gag. I am very disappointed with this product. I have two 2lbs containers of this stuff in my pantry that I will not use. If you are considering this product as a cheaper alternative to another product then keep looking. If taste is important to you then keep looking. If you are used to protein shakes that taste terrible and are chalky then this is a good product. It had good protein.

I use the best whey protein you can buy which is best tasting. I wanted to go to plant based protein to go easier on my gut. This product checks that box. I will say it took a few smoothies to get accustomed to the chocolate pea flavor. It was never disgusting as some people have exaggerated. After consuming a pound of it i have NOW come to prefer this slightly bitter flavored protein. Not to sweet, but just enough. Its an acquired taste. Mixes very well with a ball type shaker. It has a slight chalky texture but I like it. Very digestible. Definitely for the curious palette. update: after several months of using this protein I can say the above is still true. In fact I actually like it better when I add a coffee flavored superfood powder. I had given this a 4 star but reduced it to a 3 star because the directions should encompass a warning to those who suffer from constipation on occasion. YOU MUST ADD FIBER AND MORE WATER TO YOUR DIET. I did not and suffered from bad constipation nearly everyday after a week of eating this protein. I still believe in using it but after researching the subject and finding that the thickener used in the pea protein was also leading to the constipation, I am now in the process of figuring out how much and what kind of fiber supplement I will add to my diet as well as doubling my intake of water, not in coffee or tea. Like a said, mfr's of this protein need to make it clear that for many this protein is like plugging your gut with cement and precautions must be taken. But I do think that NOW products are very good and I will continue to use the Chocolate and non flavored pea protein. The original pea protein tastes good when you add monk fruit sweetener and cinnamon spice. Quite tasty.

Have used it for years

Protein is great but clean up each time because the powder is scattering all over the kitchen... not so much.

My family and I enjoy it every day. It cannot miss in our breakfast!

No more bloating due to vegan protein. It doesn't mix so well for me unfortunately. Taste is okay.
