Basic no frills keyboard but very affordable
Vintage in style and colour (once called mushroom or computer grey) and likely to be 'new old stock' aka a vintage product resurrected from the rear of someone's stockroom or an unneeded inclusion with a system, and supplied boxed and unopened. The "Lenovo Preferred Pro II USB Keyboard - UK" is no-frills as it lacks multimedia functions etc, offers the full 104-key set and does its job although probably more expensive now than when first available. Its key action is probably a rubber dome/membrane system which lacks the feedback and response to the user some may prefer, is not terrible, and should remain functional for several years. For everyday computer use it could be almost perfect. The key labelling is of a neutral, easy-to-read typeface although rather thin and perhaps slightly small. Expectation is that the labelling will be surface printed as is common to lower-end keyboards and may later wear with continued use.Although a non-gamer, enhanced keyboards with multi-coloured lighting and mechanical keys were once an attraction, their high prices not a major deterrent. After buying several at £100 and above, many are now effectively unusable and several required repeated in-guarantee replacements; user experience has not been always pleasurable and confidence in some brands is now broken.Problems with driver software are very common and affect most major brands but most issues involved poorly designed and made key-caps (several detached completely and were lost) that are only weakly connected to the switch below - Cherry's + key system is much copied (not universally) but some are very shallow implementations. Failed LED illumination is very common. With some brand's cloned switch types, a few were effectively DOA having failed within a few hours (a couple immediately on first-time installation), others needing weeks or months to fail. By comparison, one or two £5-10 membrane keyboards gave many years of problem-free service, only to be abandoned when they became unusable with a later PC, e.g. PS2 replaced by USB.Some brands accept that problems exist while others try to deny the possibility but higher pricing does not always result in quality or reliability - it should but it doesn't. If purchasers switch from the brands whose products are most problematic (many will know which), they may get the message and improve their ranges but while they continue to sell them, they simply do not care.It is consequently the current intention not to 'invest' in another overpriced mechanical keyboard - they all seem to disappoint! Simpler or basic may be the best solution for most of us!

Perfect
I’m loving this keyboard - older style but it feels great typing and using keys - solid and just plugged in with no problems so far

Brilliant
After my old keyboard gave up the ghost I just could not get on with the small keyboards mostly available. I longed for my old large and wide spaced keys again. After visits to various health places I noticed they all used the Lenovo keyboard. Thought this was just manufactured for health establishments so was surprised, and delighted, to find it available on Amazon. I'm an old fashioned, trained, touch typist and it is now a pleasure to get back to being able to touch type again and complete work much faster and, mostly, mistake free. The fact it's wired is not a problem.

Proper pro keyboard
Ideal to add to a laptop/docking station. New and sealed from Lenovo. Decent price, decent seller (TickTeck). Decent keyboard to hammer away all day. Cheers.
