Must-have for clearing up aquarium!
I was skeptical, but this stuff really works. I got driftwood for my 55 gallon aquarium. I soaked it, but still had a lot of discoloration in my water when I put it in the tank. Within 24 hours of adding Purigen to my filter, the water was noticeably more clear. Within 48 hours, even better. It comes in a packet that you put right in with your existing filter. Mine was dry when it arrived, so I soaked it for 10 minutes (per package instructions). It has no noticeable smell or extra particles left in the tank.

it works!
This company has excellent products, many of which I use. This media may seem pricey but it's reuseable and does work well. I was introduced to it by a fish supplier that uses it in fish shipment bags and it seems to greatly reduce DOA as it absorbs the ammonia. Keep water clean.

Crystal clear
This might be my first review, but this stuff was THAT amazing. My fish looked like it was swimming in sweet tea because of some new driftwood and I hated it. This filter bag cleared it up completely in just a few hours. Driftwood is still in and it is keeping it clear as can be.

Great Product
I have a 25 Gallon tank with shrimp, fish and live plants. The purigen cleans very nicely. This product has replaced my active carbon. The odor my tank has is gone.

Best out there at a price
This product really works and it’s a must to get that extra level clear water in your aquarium. The package is just a small white pouch that appears to be some sort of beads inside it. Make sure you wash it real good before adding it to your filtration system and make sure it’s after your main filters. It should be the last thing your water passes through. You might want to also order water test kits to make sure your tank is cycling correctly before adding this filter. All in all it’s a great product. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it’s expensive for 1 small pouch that you have to replace monthly. Some say you can regen it but it comes with a risk. It does make the water incredibly clear. This was on a small 10 gallon tank. Photo attached below

Purigen all the way!!!
The media could not be loaded. I love SeaChem being a local to the company and with the scientific research involved with SeaChem.I enjoy the concentrated multi use products. I've used this single purigen 100ml bag on my 10 gallon, 20 gallon, and my 55 gallon start-up tank without regeneration. My 10 is absolutely crystal clear, planted with fluval plant substrate. My 20 planted also crystal clear. Play sand and black Activ-Flora Floracor substrate, Fluval ac50 filter no carbon. My start-up 55 gallon planted with 25lbs pure clay kitty liter and 70lbs Black Diamond coal slag substrates. Tidal 75 no carbon. Crystal clear. This tank was started with 8oz. Fish food to help with bacteria startup for over a week. Awesome product! I will regenerate soon if everything goes as claimed I won't do a follow-up. Great product so far! Photos above!

I like it better than Tidal 35…
I find this product, very easy to work with and less expensive as well. I had a very hard time with the chunks in the Seachem title 35. I took them all out and replaced the bag and my tank crashed so I put half of them back in loose and then the new bag and it took three or four weeks for my tank to come back from the edge of oblivion. When I put this pure product in instead, I still left a few of the Seachem chunks in the filter; maybe four or five. I have had no tank crash! My water looks spectacular my corydoras are so happy They kept laying eggs and now I have several healthy, happy baby coreys! I think the mother Is the Long fin variety & The other two are green Coreys. They chase my long fin all the time, So I assume that she is the mother of the eggs and now the babies. Two are brownish And one has some distinct green on him. I’m curious to see how they grow up. But back to the filter. I have suffered with probably 30 filters in my fish keeping years. I’ve had everything from the 3 gallon to a 55 gallon tank. For some reason this measly 10 gallon tank has been a nightmare as far as filtration. But an intelligent young man from my LFS recommended the Seachem Tidal 35. He uses it in all 25 of his tanks. He also cleans and takes care of other peoples tanks as a side job. And he loves Corydoras! I was really afraid I’d made a mistake by listening to him, but it just takes the right filter media to make all the difference in the world. And the right filter. And someone knowledgeable & friendly to steer you in the right direction.! I highly recommend this product and I hope that you give it a shot. What do you have to lose besides a messy tank and a couple of dollars? Who knows you could end up with surprise fish fry!!!!!!!
