Higgins Sepia Calligraphy Ink, 2.5 Ounce (46036)

Excellent fountain pen ink - have been using it for many years. I've not had it leak from my pens, over the years, and it dries quickly on paper. An all-around great choice!

Love this ink. The color is beautiful. Not waterproof and can be used as a wash or in a brush pen. Most of all the new plastic lid is great. The old one has rusty metal lid.

It's a really beautiful ink that gives more of an aged vintage vibe. It's a bit on the thinner, faster flowing side so I wouldn't use this on really absorbent paper as it will really bloom but on something like cotton paper, it's fun to use.

It is not ready to use in calligraphy. Interesting color. I am a beginner and experimenting with calligraphy. Since I now understand the ink viscosity. Will buy again for the price.

I use for pen and ink over watercolor paintings. Flows nice from a crow quill pen. Easy to control lines and dries quickly.

Always the right color with this vendor.

Good stuff

Extremely weak and faded ink. Definitely not as jet black as my other bottles of ink. Waste of money.

Just tried some sampling of it and it seems a pretty nice ink. Dries in a minute or so on decent cartridge paper and is then fairly waterproof. After a few more minutes it is waterproof so doesn't give you much time to work with for sketching. Will have to try it on Bristol board sometime, it has a shinier surface and make give more working time to wet with a brush. Very pleased with it otherwise and it comes at a very reasonable cost.

La he comprado para rellenar mi pincel Pentel y resultó muy buena, su resistencia al agua la hace excelente para técnica de acuarela, y se hace permanente sobre el Linoleo para trazar más fácilmente para hacer mis grabados, ADVERTENCIA, no la usen en plumas fuente, porque se seca dentro del sistema, la metí en una Jinhao como prueba y dio mal resultado, pero para dibujo con pincel es de lo mejor.

This ink is for dip pens and brushes, not fountain pens. I ordered them for fountain pens due to incorrect product details.

Writes beautifully, very dark black and so far has been fountain pen friendly. I’ve found it difficult to find an ink ok for fountain pens and waterproof - this is brilliant, plus a very reasonable price too. Very happy with my purchase and adding to my subscribe list.
