Volume 1 and 2 were both fantastic, 5 stars all around
Ok, as a huge fan of Nightwing I am loving the re-release of these stories. Volume 1 and 2 were both fantastic, 5 stars all around. This however marks my first problem in the series, one that I see sadly way too often in Nightwing comics: the crossover. I understand that, being a former Batman sidekick and character, Dick will often be affected by whatever is happening in the Batman series. It happened in the New52 just as it happens here. The opening story, a well executed murder-mystery, is a fantastic narrative and the kind of thing I love seeing in trades and collections. It established the characters Nightwing would be interacting with, gave some fantastic action scenes, presented clues throughout to solve the mystery, and wrapped up in a fantastic and satisfying conclusion.Following that is a story about Nightwing going to help Gotham during a massive Earthquake. This is the problem I had with this volume and why it doesn't get 5 stars. Dick rushes to Gotham, saves people, meets up with Oracle and Robin, and a villain threatens to cause another Earthquake should he not be paid an obscene amount of money (typical 90's villain style). It ends there for this trade, continued in whatever Batman series was running at the time. It always bothers me when trades or collections don't include issues from separate series to conclude what it set-up, but I think this annoyed me more following such a fantastic opening story. The last few issues continue the stories set up in the Nightwing series and I must say I loved the development of the wannabe vigilante "Nite-wing" story and am eager to see where it goes in the next trade. While the middle two-issue crossover was a disappointment, it still gave us some good Nightwing heroics, and the rest of the book balances it out well enough. I imagine if you have the first two volumes you are just going to purchase this one as well but for anybody who may be having doubts about it (I don't know why you would be), definitely add it to your collection.

great 3rd volume but the amazon description is off
The Dixon/McDaniel Night wing is a classic work, but the amazon description is incorrect. Volume 3 includes in the following order: Nightwing/Huntress #1-4 from 1988, Nightwing #1/2 from 1996 and then Nightwing 1988 issues #19 - 25

Classic 90s Storytelling
This is Classic 90s Nightwing, Chuck Dixon style. I'm really enjoying this series and definitely plan to read the remaining volumes.

Buen libro de Dixon, en este volumen se encuentran grandes coaliciones que tiene Nightwing con Tim Drake y Huntress, se ve como el personaje va evolucionando para poder lograr sus objetivos en Bludhaven.
