I didn't hate it , it just did not work and was 3 years old and was old technology and would not work with an apple computer

Very easy to set up and use. It takes a while to scan each slide when you are attempting to scan for the best results possible. But, you get a lot considering it is inexpensive.Very happy with the results on my 1500 slide project.

The device cannot...cannot deal with light value. if the slide is an outdoor shot with no shadowing, It is great. If there is the slightest of any shadowing all detail in the shadows is lost all you get is a shadow blob.... very frustrating when dealing with architectual subjects :(

Scanner works great with Windows 10 Pro. Took a while to get driver to work, but once it was up and running it scanned great. Does a really great job with Kodak Kodachrome Color Safety 135 (35mm) film, this is the film which is orange in color after developing and very difficult to scan. Came also with a full Adobe Photoshop Package.

I sent it back. It did not work and gave a yellow haze to every slide I scanned.

Ther were times when I could not get the PrimFlim to work right. Sometimes it would not scan color slides or film correctly.

The software is outdated and discontinued

This scanner is a reasonably good value and does a reasonably good job. If you have tried scanning prints with a flatbed scanner, you will be happier with the results you get scanning negatives with the PrimeFilm. A couple of caveats: first, this scanner is not fast. One roll of film a day is probably as much as you'll have patience for. Second, the scanned image quality is only as good as your negatives, and your old negatives are probably more fragile than you expected. Plan to spend a fair amount of time cleaning up blemishes in PhotoShop, and, frankly, if you used a cheap camera in the first place, don't even bother; you'll do just as well scanning the prints (and a decent flatbed scanner is a lot cheaper).One last thing: if you want to save some money, go buy this scanner at C-O-S-T-C-O-D-O-T-C-O-M.
