Used this to extend the ecu access in my mx5 with aftermarket ecu. I can now plug into the ecu without taking the floor up everytime! Connection seems stable and haven't had any issues with it! Cheap and works perfectly

For your info, this cable is a pin-to-pin on all 9 pins, I used it to make a programming lead for an extension to my rs232 China plc programming lead, cut it to fit a mini din to 1 end and kept the female d type at the other. only 3 wires are used, for info search - Delta rs232 lead connections, hope this helps someone.

There is nothing wrong with the cable - just the description of the product. The description reads DTECH DB9 9 Pin Serial Cable 5ft Male to Female RS232 Straight Through（0.5m, Black）and I assumed that it was a 5ft cable but it is a .5m cable - only about 3ft difference. The cable works perfectly and I can manage but the description needs to be sorted.

good quality cable - 9 pin serial cable is not so often used nor - but this is just right

This cable is not shielded as description claims. Bought for a CNC project. Completely useless for me.
