Great job, so easy to fit and cost a lot less than having to get the furniture shop man out to do it for me.

Bought this to replace one that had broken on a two seater recliner. The original one was made from plastic and snapped where the cable connects to it and therefore the weakest point. This one is metal and although you have to make slight adjustments to it ( file it a small amount to let cable seat properly) it is far more robust than the original item and fits perfectly in terms of size and shape. I would have no hesitation in recommending this item and at the price it is a no brainer , just leaving the question “ why didn’t the sofa manufacturer use metal in the first place? “

Easy to fit and works better than the original

Excellent quality and very easy to install (in theory). Only issue was that the opening for the cable in the back of the handle was too narrow so I had to take a hacksaw to it to widen it slightly (hence 3 stars for installation). Nice sturdy metal, much stronger than the original plastic one on the recliner armchair

Perfect fit

Excellent metal replacement for plastic item that was broken. Not an exact fit, but that was down to me for not checking and assuming all these items would be same size! So be careful with sizes. I got it to fit with minimal problem. Much smoother than old fitting.

I purchased this aluminium as a replacement for the original plastic handle that broke where the outer cable was retained. I assume it was fatigue on the plastic. Yes I think the aluminium replacement will be stronger and the dimensions are exactly as the original but it has not been a direct replacement. The slot/hole where the outer cable should fit was too narrow/small to insert and retain it correctly.I have had to file the slot and hole to fit the cable. It does seem a well made replacement but because of the additional work I can only give it 3*.
