Whats the usb cable called that connects into the power box? i accidentally broke mine and need to buy a new one

Could I cut off the usb and wire it directly to my ignition?

It would be possible yes but I wouldnt advise it unless you know what your doing as im sure you do but just to let you know even if they are plugged into a use they turn off as soon as you turn off your ignition so they won't drain the battery. Hope this was helpful :)

You can hard wire it, cut the USB adapter off, strip the wire and use a piggy back fuse to wire it from a fuse that has power to it when the ignition is on!

Yes it will run off of any usb port that outputs 5v (literally all of them will output 5v)
