Terrible wand
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. The tank is nice. I like the air relief valve and the wide mouth the tank has. Now the wand is the worst I have used in memory. it is anti-ergonomic, feels really odd in the hand. I keep nipping my index finger with the lever. As soon as the pressure starts dropping the tip drips (see video) after the lever is release it drips a lot, at high or low pressure. The spray is wide and if you try to adjust the angle you do not spray you get large drops.Very disappointing. What would Ralph E. Chapin say?

Total POS
Bought this to replace the cheaper $20 big box version i had. And have been fighting it for many monthsFirst issue was that it doesn't seal very well and hold pressure. Removing the large O-ring and applying some vacuum grease helped the issue some, but you still cant pup the tank up very much. Even with the large treads you have to have get the top just right or it will try and cross thread really easily. And no, im not trying to put a massive pressure in the tank - the cheap ones hold more pressure than this.Second - the brass tip looks nice and robust, but the spray pattern is extremely finicky and you can only get a good spay pattern when the tank is pumped all the way up, but then drains down quickly (first issue) and you have to start all over again. Its really hard to find tune. I only found this is good to put out a large volume of liquid quick, if you are wanting to go smaller controlled spray - it doesn't work at all.Third. the holder for the wand on the top really doesn't work at all - there are 3 different sized holder but none of them seem to work that well. For the price point - just by the cheap big box ones and trash them when they go bad. its not worth the fight or inconsistencies this "Premire Pro" sprayer

Great design, poor quality control
First the good - The unit appears very well designed. Everything is sturdy and looks like it should tolerate abuse and last a long time. The tank actually has measurement lines up to 1-1/4 gal - a bit more than the 1 gal. rating. In decent light, it is easy to see the level of fluid through the tank wall. The opening at the top is large and easy to fill. The spray is powerful and shoots a good distance. Now the bad - Where the heck was quality control? The plastic tank had leftover mold flash on the sealing surface. The tank would not hold pressure. I carefully trimmed the flashing off and sanded the surfaces smooth and it now holds pressure as long as the cap is firmly tightened. Once I got that problem fixed, I put some water in to check the spray pattern. A gasket under the nozzle was cracked and caused a small stream of flow to shoot out to the side, separate from the main flow. I took the nozzle apart and rotated the seal and with some care, was able to get the side spray to stop. At this price point, problems like that are totally unacceptable.I haven't decided if I trust my repairs enough to keep this unit or if I'll swap it for another. I do believe this sprayer, if they provide proper quality control, is a very good choice.

I used to like this brand. Now I'm not so sure.
I used to like this brand. Now I'm not so sure. The hose connection to the wand, which had a crimp band (not adjustable) on it, leaked the first time I pumped it up. I was not happy with insecticide spilling all over the place! I depressurized the tank and replaced the crimp band (which was easy to pull off the wand) with a screw type hose clamp. To top it off, the instruction manual parts list listed a shoulder strap, but there wasn't any inside my package.I'm disappointed. Chapin has the best nozzles, but if this is the kind of stuff that's showing up, it makes me wonder how long before the rest of the product quality drops.

Durability and customer service led me back to Chapin
This replaced a much older Chapin Premier that I was unable to get replacement parts for. Chapin customer service was excellent and sent me out what they thought may work for my older unit at no cost to me. Unfortunately, the replacement part didn't work and Chapin's customer service didn't have access to the part required. After all these years I didn't want to have to buy a replacement but understood that product designs do change. I also could have attempted to repair my product but with the amount of spraying I do I didn't want to risk a break down in the midst of a project. The fact that I was able to speak with an actual person both times I called the customer service line and the excellent service they attempted to provide is what persuaded me to repurchase another Chapin product.**Update**I see other reviews complaining about the shape of the included nozzle. The included nozzle wasn’t ideal for my usage and so I purchased a more appropriate option. I do like the fact that both nozzles seem to be solidly made and fashioned out of brass. As long as you are aware of the need to possibly tailor this sprayer to your particular needs, have no worries as it is durable and continues to hold up after repeated uses.

Buy this instead of the cheap pump sprayers. It's worth your sanity.
After struggling with cheap pump sprayers for years I finally splurged on this to spray Cy-Kick for the scorpions at my new house. This is worth it. Everything about it is vastly superior to the $10 plastic sprayers you get at a home improvement store. The pump is made of metal and each pump puts a lot more air in the tank and also doesn't feel like it's going to snap off at any given moment. The pressure relief valve is a dream to operate also. Then there's the sprayer itself. It's made of brass, it feels good, is not fatiguing to use and it looks like it can come apart to be rebuilt. The spray nozzle at the end has a great adjustment range and it just flows a lot more liquid in a nice fan spray.Between the larger air space in the two gallon model I bought and the greater volume of air put in to the tank with every pump, I can lay down a layer of bug spray in a matter of minutes one I get going with this thing.Overall this is one of those things once you buy the nice one there's no going back. I've also started spraying two of my families houses so I've become the regular family bug man I guess, but you can easily diy that for much less money than hiring a pro.

Not the best unit for precision treatments
Decent unit other than the dripping at the nozzle tip after the flow trigger has been released. I use it for interior pesticide spray and would recommend a different nozzle and gasket. The cardboard like material saturates quickly and causes another drip point.
