In the photo this swing is white. When I received it it was unfinished. This was a wedding gift for my brother and his wife and they are pleased ased with it do I gv it 4 stars. I wld hv preferred it white as the photo shown.

Purchased this swing in 4' model from another retailer and was what I expected and wanted. Consider it a piece of unfinished furniture and you will have to do a little sanding. I sanded, rounded the slat edges with sandpaper and added some screws to the frame which I did to my last swing that was 70+ years old from an estate that lasted me 30 + years. Oak appears to be #1 which I painted with primer and gloss exterior house paint. Yes, the manufacturer needs to sharpen their planer blades and do a little sanding but it was a good value versus other swings I looked at IF you are willing to invest a little time. Note after hanging you need longer chain for > 8' ceiling, I picked up a few feet and 1/4" chain repair links to extend mine. Also instructions say put rear bolt thru chain and washer/nut on outside but bolt pulled through chain so pick up a couple of 1/4" washers too!
