Great pedal at a great price!
I was really undecided about which univibe style pedal to get. After listening to all of them, from MXR to JHS, and obviously the DigiTech Ventura Vibe, I decided to get the Venture Vibe for a few reasons: 1. I already have 2 other DigiTech pedals and they are both AMAZING! Built like tanks, aesthetically very pleasing, and they sound great! 2. I didn't really need the most authentic Univibe, but something a bit more versatile and still great sounding. With the 3 way switch for selecting between univibe, vibrato and rotary speaker, this pedal totally fit the bill. It's also a great extra to have the gain control. 3. Price. I don't know if it's because the pedal is discontinued, but at $99 it's the best deal out there. I really like the JHS Unicorn V2 also, but for now, it's out of my price range. Since I now know for sure that I really like "univibe" pedals, I wouldn't feel hesitant to spend money on a more expensive pedal, if I could afford to do so.Over all, the pedal looks, feels, and sounds great. It's a ton of fun and is really inspiring for my type of playing. Too bad they are out of production. My advice would ne to get one while you can, especially at these prices.

Three pedals in one: Univibe, Vibrato+Chorus, Leslie Rotary Speaker
This is a great little pedal with three or four useful effects. The univibe is good, with more of a Robin Trower feel than a Hendrix feel. The chorus you get by blending the dry signal with the vibrato is very good. And the rotary speaker sound is terrific. There is a drive built in but I don't find it necessary, though it is usable if you don't have another drive. The only trick I found is I need to put it before dirt and compression in the chain. This is rare for a modulation effect. If it's after the dirt and compression the phase cancelation of the univibe effect quiets the signal too much.

Cool pedal…
Pedal sounds good… emulates a rotary speaker pretty well… noticed a second or two delay when switching between modes, which could get kind of weird when at a gig (absolutely NO signal will be produced when that delay is going on). There also doesn’t seem to be a provision for a 9V battery in the unit, which is weird as it’s a full size pedal. But overall it seems to be a pretty decent unit. Only time will tell though, as the true test will be when it’s being used out on the road.

Budget Leslie plus so much more
Three different pedals in one- classic vintage, modern, and a Leslie rotating speaker emulator. I bought it mainly for the Leslie because you can hardly find these pedals for less than $300 by themselves. It sounds great- it goes from minimal rotation volume sweeps to full blown psychedelic underwater tones. I’ve played the vintage and modern and they are a lot of fun as well. This is very well worth the money, plus it supports stereo in/out for full effect. I highly recommend.Edit- I’ve been playing more on vintage and modern- this gives a decent distortion, and you can sound like Breathe by Pink Floyd on vintage, Black Hole Sun by Soundgarden on Modern, or VooDoo Chile by Hendrix on Rotary. I haven’t come close to finding all the tones on this thing. I’ll definitely be on a fun hunt over the next week. I think it might be the best money I’ve spent on a pedal!

No one trick pony!
I have to say, this pedal is not a one trick pony! It goes from chorus to simulated rotary with plenty of variation and... it has a drive knob that will give you, in my opinion, a very good overdrive effect to boot! The mix knob allows you to control how much or little of the effects you want. Actually I bought the Ventura because of the drive feature and I am not disappointed! It is very well built and very cool looking as well. This pedal is worth checking out if you’re in the market for the realm of the uni-vibe!

Good range of effect tones
Pretty convincing UniVibe and Leslie effects, though perfectionists should stick with the (much) higher priced Neo and Mini Vents, or the offerings from DLS. I don't use those sounds a lot, but when I do I prefer the Ventura over trying to get a standard phaser or vibrato to do the trick. I think it sounds better than my Voodoo Labs Micro-Vibe even after modding it too.For the price I paid ($98 new), it's well worth it. Grab em while you can since DigiTech/DOD is no more (again, thanks Harmon...not!)

Drunk box
First off, my advice would be to check this pedal in action on YouTube, and if you like what you hear (and see), then you'll want to snatch one up quick, because Digitech discontinued this. It's really strange that they don't even list it in the 'discontinued products' section of their website - maybe a copyright issue? Anyway, if you get this pedal, you'll also want to do a Google search to find and download the Users Manual which some 3rd parties are still posting - it illustrates a few 'patches' for the Ventura Vibe that you may find useful.Like every other pedal in this series, the Ventura Vibe is a very convenient size and built like a tank. It has dual inputs and outputs, so it can be used with both mono and stereo sources. It's a knob-per function box - so it's fairly easy to figure out as there is no menu diving, though there are no presets. The Ventura Vibe blankets a nice colorization onto your source - it's best used on sustained sounds like pads or organs. Sort-of makes the things sound a bit 'drunk', like the wow and flutter of an old cassette tape player. As others noted, the rotary effect is nothing to write home about. Honestly, I don't think I will be using this as much as the Nautila, which is another mod effect pedal in this product line, but the Ventura Vibe is good for adding some dreamy vertigo, if that's your cup of tea. :)

Very versatile pedal!
This hard to find pedal does everything I was looking for and does it quite well for the price.

Another quality pedal from Digitech
Another quality pedal from Digitech at a reasonable price. Sits nicely alongside and compliments the Polara Reverb and Obscura Delay - both of which are great too. The three settings - Vibe, Modern, Rotary all sound very good to my ears - only have the pedal a day, but enjoyed playing it immensely. Loving the Rotary setting which is what I was particularly interested in, but the vibe sounded very sweet too. Can't comment on how it fares against other brand's equivalent pedals.
